Don't post in this forum asking is there is a schematic or layout or info on XXX pedal.
There is a subforum setup for requests already. It is located here:
REQUESTS FORUM
Any requests posted here will be moved to proper sub forum, and I'll also make nasty remarks about your mother.
also, if you have a problem with your build, post it in the WORKBENCH. these threads are for circuit analysis only. by all means, if you discover something we should...
Morecowbell, thanks for those great links you posted, but if they are all avaible from one location, it's better to just post that one link. If people are interested in discussion about this or that box, that can become a separate thread.
They are all in the $59-159 price range! Anybody has more info on this brand, we're still waiting for the english version of the website..
Hi! I've picked this one up used, and it's an older, not status LED model. Sounds decent, and a good range of speeds available. Anyone saw a schematic for it, or should we try and trace?
If so, I have them. The pedal is supposed to be a clone of the Free The Tone's String Slinger.
I'd love to see the schematic of this pedal but I don't have the skill to decipher it. Sounds like it's based on a Tube Screamer with less of a mid focus.
This is not meant for tracing, 'cause the circuit is just a TS9 clone.

It's just to see which components are used. The V810 is praised by some folks for having its own tone. This is a model that may have more than 10 years, kinda old school, and it sounded good indeed. A friend of mine purchased a brand new one a month ago but said that it sounded far worst than the model in the photo (that was property of another common friend...), I haven't checked...
No secret that it’s an OCD clone. Though which version and if there’s any value changes I’m not sure. Anyone know what diode that is next to the 2N7000s? Looks like a Russian germanium D9K or somerhing. Pedal sounds great.
I’ve been searching for months for a simple gutshot or schematic for this Fet fuzz and all I’ve found is attached below. A crappy pic I found on a Japanese site. I can buy the pedal but it’s not exactly dirt cheap.
If anyone has the schematic, please post it. Thanks.
Guyatone Fuzz 2000.JPG
Description from Guyatone:
When Guyatone first set out to create the ultimate fuzz pedal, they looked to the past for inspiration. Thus, the Fuzz 2000's circuit design was based on the most famous...
The original thread for this was for the first version which was different and the schematic pics are long gone.
I got around to tracing it myself, it's slightly different than a phase 90, just some different part values and an extra resistor on the output. Enjoy.
So a friend wants me to modify his TS9B. He bought it thinking it might be similar to the Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive, but at first glance it looks quite different than any other TS I've seen. None of the usual suspects appear to be present like the pair of 220nF tantal caps for the tone circuit. Prior to tracing, I'd say that it is a Baxandall-type or similar.
The bottom line is that we both assumed that the TS9B was just a TS9 voiced for bass with a blend knob, and not something rather...
Hi, got a pressure tank, took it apart and got some pics :3. It's actually very close to the diamond comp minus the tone bypass, even down to the double coupling caps which is kinda pointless in this mlcc version but still cute. Our unit's frequency response is not very flat, especially at higher comp settings, which is no surprise with the LM358 (0.6uV/s slew) that works as the makeup gain amplifier (U1) in this unit. We swapped it for a TL072, and while the bandwidth still feels limited at...
Hello,
As I am an avid cloner myself, I thought that it's my time to give something to the DIY community. I got ahold of the effect mentioned in the title and I am providing some gut shots, also a list with components. Capacitor values on the list have ? due to my lack of experience with SMD components. Where there is no indication on the list will be completed tomorrow then I'll get a magnifying glass. All other info from the list are markings on the components (mostly SMD).
Here are some...
below some line6 M9 gutshots. I need to opened it to replace a bad LCD and took some pictures.
The M9 schematic is attached as well.
Maybe it help somebody.
Hi all,
I own since ages this Dunlop CBM95 Mini Crybaby, which I love it as it is super compact and space friendly.
Lately I opened it to apply few mods (beside the 3DPT switch with bypass status LED which I already did years ago).
I didn't really trace the circuit, but from the components and values I saw, I think the schematic is the same one as the Crybaby CB95 with the input buffer and MPSA18 transistor.
In general I wasn't able to have a reading of the capacitors (beside the 220nF and...
Hello FreeStompers. I recently unearthed a file folder of Clockworks documentation and am pleased to be able to publish the info here for your entertainment. From the file notes it looks like I had the original concept idea in 1977, but didn't get around to actually building anything until late 1980. My first attempt apparently involved non-retriggerable one-shots but that was less than satisfactory and was abandoned in favor of the analog frequency divider approach that ultimately went into...
It is a good sounding mild overdrive to push a tube amp.

Here's more informations about this little cheap, simple but really good sounding pedal : the MUFF Overdrive EH Nano.
I traced the schematic from the double-sided PCB. There is no SMD components in the unit (2011) :
This is the direct descendant of the 1969 MUFF-FUZZ, with the exception of C5 and C6, which were 0µ1 at that time, and of course the RF filters, which didn't existed. The MUFF Overdrive sounds even more mellow for these reasons.
So, a couple of years ago I was watching videos and came across the Russian Spektr-3 Fuzz, Wah, Autowah unit and thought the fuzz part sounded pretty good.
Some time later I saw some demos on YouTube of just the Fuzz section that Soviet Guitar Effects has made and sells for the mere lowly pittance of AU$572.80¢…so I decided to get the schematic, manual, and extract the circuit myself and, naturally, give it away for free on FSB. :D
I haven’t made one yet as I’m waiting on some parts from...
While cleaning up I found this incomplete Reagun Distortion that I bought years ago.
Anyway, now I have traced it.
Here the PCB layout and the schematic, some measurements come later.
This is the same PCB as the REAGUN Overdrive but partly with other, omitted and additional components
I'm Im in a but if a J Mascis rabbit hole and have been trying to get as much info on the deluxe big muff as I possibly can with not much information publicly posted. Here's kinda what I have so far

Hi, a few pics of my Moen Ulite Tremolo, small depth in triangle mode but enjoyable, too on/off in square mode, very good as boost, chips are LM393N, TL072CP, JRC4558d:
I have the old 2 channel plexitone but the lack of volume and tone controls meant I stopped using it for years. I just got a CM Greg Howe Lick Box which seems like a version of the old Plexitone but with individual volume and tone controls per channel.
However, a major problem is the switching. On the Plexitone there was a select button in the middle which allowed you to toggle between the Crunch and High Gain channels. On the Lick Box, you can select all or any channels, so to switch...
Hi.
A friend lent me this pedal, I wanted to see what it was.
Basically a rat with input buffer and two separate controls for dry and wet volume, and probably an extra output boost too (that I didn't trace).
The most interesting part was the gain/frequency resistor and capacitor (330 ohm and 6µ8, to save you some time) but what took me a really long time is what looks to me as a very elaborate clipping switch and volume control for LED clipping (controlled by the internal trimpot, described by...
I think we all pretty much know what this is, but as I have one sitting here, I thought I'd take a few shots.

Outside is actually a really nice gold finish. Not at all cream, the way it looks on the website

I've seen this somewhere before... Not great soldering on the wires. I might have to beef that up.
