Don't post in this forum asking is there is a schematic or layout or info on XXX pedal.
There is a subforum setup for requests already. It is located here:
REQUESTS FORUM
Any requests posted here will be moved to proper sub forum, and I'll also make nasty remarks about your mother.
also, if you have a problem with your build, post it in the WORKBENCH. these threads are for circuit analysis only. by all means, if you discover something we should...
Morecowbell, thanks for those great links you posted, but if they are all avaible from one location, it's better to just post that one link. If people are interested in discussion about this or that box, that can become a separate thread.
They are all in the $59-159 price range! Anybody has more info on this brand, we're still waiting for the english version of the website..
Here is the first draft of the schematic. This is the Japanese version that comes with the orange battery cover. My son in law has the version made in Sri Lanka but, this Japanese one sounds better. I prefer this pedal on my guitars with humbuckers. It does for hummers what a Tube Screamer does for single coils.
HELP!!!! I have been given an amazing 90s George Dennis Vol/Distortion pedal. It's a GD100 Wizard Rock ( Not the Wizard Blues ). A beast in both tone and size.
The Dist circuit is a high gain (yet quiet) 90s distortion with warmth/depth and a great 'character'. I would love to be able to get the DIST pedal in a small box on its own, but I don't know what it's based on. Or at least a schematic so that I can build my own. As I said, just the Dist/Gain circuit - no volume. Anybody familiar with it?
Usually I use a mic in front of my cab and a DI in front of my pedalboard for live gigs. Now last gig(s) I loaned my friends Red Box MKII as my main DI was in use (still in the studio) and I must say I am impressed by the sound this puppy can bring to the mixing desk. It really mimics my 4x12 I use
(small add-on; I play bass and use a Ampeg V4 through a 4x12 w/ some OD pedals and some modulation)
I found the schematics online at AG's site. Awesome man! As I never heard the...
I constantly see fairly good reviews of this pedal. At 50$ it’s hard not to try. Recently I’ve been on the bk butler-ish clone. Built the pedalpcb cattle driver and bajamans modified bk butler. Well I actually had someone build it. I haven’t messed with tubes yet…even starved plates tube ods.
Has anyone tried the little bear? I did a search but found nothing.
I have an Blackstar HT Dual pedal Im trying to fix. I purchased from eBay. Shortly after I noticed a problem in the switching. Negotiated a 50% reduction on the basis I would fix. Im not a pro but have built fx and fixed amp problems before so am confident in tackling this.
Wanted some advice before I open the box though.
Symptoms are...
Unit always works in Bypass
Sometimes either green, red (or both) channels are silent.
Sometimes the volume of green or red channel will dip randomly....
Anybody have the schematic for a Zoom 9050? I'm getting all sorts of artifacts and noise through some effects even though I swapped the caps on the analog board.
Does anyone know what Pro Co has done to the RAT to make it a FATRAT? I'm talking actual circuit and/or component changes not sound/features. If anyone has any gut shots or an actual verified/traced schematic that would be great. I'd like to update my comparative multi RAT schematic (below) to include this new RAT variation so I'm really curious as to what they've done.
Friend of mine has one of these puppies and want to use it on bass...... shame, the unit does not function that great on bass and he asked me if I could mod it.
Anyone knows this baby / knows what happens inside one?
It turns out to be exactly same the pcb as the Rocktron Wah , for which Bernarduur provided a schematic
A friend asked me to take a look, because the pedal is kinda noisy... and it kinda is. Had an old Vox lying in the shed, tested it and it had similar problems: lots of white noise when effect's engaged. When I touch the inductor, it goes wild... Before replacing the inductor, I googled a bit and sort of like the suggestion of GBlekas of unmatched gain in the transistors.
Hi everyone, I'm very new here, in fact first post. I wasn't quite sure how to start a new topic so I'll start here.
OK, I have managed to pick up a YAMAHA SB200 Effects box. It's had a bit of mangling along the way but I hope to restore it to near original condition.
I've kinda trawled all over the internet for the cct/wiring diagrams but no luck except for some photos etc, and of course, this thread.
It's not the individual pedal schematics I'm after - that will happen later, but the...
Hadn't gotten around to post this one yet.
Another cheapo, yet not awful-sounding one.
The circuit does not seem to stray too far from your standard OD. It has a fairly flat freq response but a limited drive range.
I'll get around to modding it at some point, but the bastard crapped on me shortly after reassembling it and I couldn't be bothered to reopen it.
Trace double-but-not-triple-checked. Pinch of salt, etc.
We still need to clean up drawing and verify stuff and we don't have means to measure caps atm, but long story short the blow torch is an OPA boosted Si NPN fuzz face (q9/10) with some modded values running at 18V. Torch button sets pre boost gain and there's a weird looking double transistor buffer (q7/8) between OPA and FF that we don't quite understand yet, maybe we missed smth or got it wrong? There's also a 2nd order passive filter after the FF/before the active EQ which...
Hi,
I disassembled a Rocktron Surf Tremolo with the problem that you can see in the video:
The problem hapens even in bypass, it was just a kind of amplified when the compressor is on.
It was not an easy pedal to disassemble, and the board its heavy populated mainly SMD components....I will need some help, and if anyone have the schematic...
Despite having been around for some years, there's still an aura of mystery around waza craft BOSS pedals. What do they have in common, what is the waza factor? What do the custom modes even do?
There's some info thrown around about CCS-loaded buffers, which are nice even if unnecessary for guitar, and they're still just buffers. Is that it?
That said, I have the luck of having a friend who owns the DS-1W and who let me borrow it for tracing without begging too much. Thanks to him, and my hard...
I recently received a broken Danelectro Cool Cat Transparent Overdrive V2.
Since no actual schematic seems to be available I have tried to create one using Kicad.
Most capacitors are smd, were removed and measured with RLC meter.
The Cool Cat Fuzz V2 input buffer seems similar.
The FET clipping is not yet drawn properly, suggestions welcome.
