Looking for a particular component or hardware part and you just cannot find it? Got comoonents surplus and want to get rid of it? Post it all here... No sales of working pedals, put these in the 'Seen for sale' section please.
I'm opening up this forum for people who want to get rid of some stuff they bought too much of. If I was hesistant about this initally, it was only because of the problems and altrication that might come from this, rather than this idea of members helping out one another.

so i think it's about time i stopped using batteries while working on pedals. i had a shit experience last night. breadboarded the roland double beat, and it was sounding like shit. wtf? went through a bunch of transistors, still shit. this, that, still shit. nothing i did made it ok. then right before i tripped over my guitar cable and sent my BB on a first class trip to the floor, i measured my battery- 7 volts. i guess the double beat is going to wait a bit longer.
Anyone know if these are useful in a fuzz circuit, or what kind of gain range they have? I have a chance to buy about 125 of them taken from a junked Farfisa organ.
apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.
mods, please move this if I goofed sorry.
variety of schems and manuals for amps and all kinds of things I'm told
Hello all,
just learning the ropes... have no electrical background but have wired a few gtrs and built a few pedals...
I'm interested in building either an mxr flanger or an 9v eh elec mist and both seem to use this sad1024 bbd chip... trouble is: can't really find them anywhere.
So I'm wondering... what can you tell me about substitutes?
will any 1024 bbd chip work as long as I line up the corresponding pins correctly (such as the mn3007 I see over at small bear)?
hey does anyone know where to get MN3007 cheap in the UK? the cheapest I seen is around £7-8 which is quite expensive (to me :P) lol or perhaps a drop in substitute or clone for a small clone chorus? Thanks :)
I'm just building a tone control and the circuit specifies NE5534 and TL072 which require +/-15v. What other opamps could I use instead that will give me the same tonal quality with a 9v supply? Or at least close.
:?
I'm stocking up in components for the zakk wylde mxr distortion pedal and I need an 18nf cap - does anyone have any secret sources where I can pick some up in the UK?
I've got hold of some 22k pots how much will this effect the tone compared to 20k pots? Does anywhere in the UK sell these as well?
:?: :?: :?: :!:
The PCB boards they sell at my local shop are a sort of pale yellow under the copper.
But in the interest of aesthetics, I was wondering if anyone here knows where I could find
other colors of copper clad board
I'm looking to build a remote switching system, and I think I need about 6 or 7 of these, along with sockets. Does anyone know where I can find them for a reasonable price?
Firstly thanks for all the previous posts has been really useful, however being a complete beginner I could really use a hand buying the transistors...
I'm from the UK and have been using rapid electronics ( and if I search for 2N3904 for example I get loads of choices and I'm struggling to work out the difference etc... any help appreachiated!
Building a Neovibe, have most of my parts ready to order from places, and just need to get some LDR's - I'd like the Silonex NSL-7530's but the postage would cost more/the same as the actual parts seen as they're the only thing I need.
I know Smallbear has them, but $4 each is quite a lot! RS has them at £1.43 each which is good but postage is £5...
Anybody have 4 of them to sell? or making an RS order that I can tag onto?
My wife got me a new Weller WP35 iron for Christmas, but the tip that came with it is too big. So, if any of you use ST tips, which one works best for building pedals?
