Looking for a particular component or hardware part and you just cannot find it? Got comoonents surplus and want to get rid of it? Post it all here... No sales of working pedals, put these in the 'Seen for sale' section please.
I'm opening up this forum for people who want to get rid of some stuff they bought too much of. If I was hesistant about this initally, it was only because of the problems and altrication that might come from this, rather than this idea of members helping out one another.

I have .1uf Mullard Tropical fish caps for sale. Very useable value. Also have Dale Precision (1%) resistors, 470k.
3.00 for 10 TropFishies shipped in the U.S. (a bit more outside the U.S.)
2.00 for 10 Precisison resistors shipped in the U.S. (again, a bit more abroad)
Does anyone know where I can find these mini pots like the ones for bass and treble on the Fulltone pedals? What a space saver. I can't find knobs small enough for some of my pots and these look cool. I am looking for a B25K and B100k.
I was looking for Veroboard. Where can you find it? If the only place to get it costs $30 with shipping then maybe I will try metal etching. If metal etching is the way to go then what's the best way to do it?
The component thread seemed to be getting interest from people who had found rare speakers in old equipment and thought to make searching easier i'd split it into 2 different threads for those after amp parts and those after components for there stompboxes, thanks in advance for any comments.
Here are the comments from the posts that got put on the other thread
Not necessarily stompbox-related, but keep an eye on your local craigslist for Hammond JR-20 tonecabs. I was given one by someone...
I recently placed my orders and forgot to get some of these for a tube project. I need 3-4 each of 220k, 150k, 100k and 68k. If you have some you could spare, let me know and I can Paypal you or whatever.
Fetto etc...
Does anyone know what they are ?
They have a lot nicer feel and are easier to switch that the common Blue type (I'm assuming they're a 3PDT).
I'm new here, and to building effects in general. I'm in the middle of waiting for some enclosures to dry for 3 BYOC pedals I've made, plus a SHO clone I put together after I found this site. I've found it's a bit confusing to source parts with all the different dealers having unique items, or good prices on only a few things. I've placed an order at Futurlec for a bunch of basic stuff, but I was wondering where I could get these items at a good price.
Saw this on the BAY ... might be useful for stompboxes??
Project Description
This project was conceived as a way to enhance the collection of test equipment on my test bench. I buy a lot of older HP test gear off ebay as well as older radios. Most of this gear is 25-60 years old and needless to say, the condition of the electrolytic capacitors is somewhat suspect. I needed a way to quickly weed out bad caps with an in circuit tester.
At the present time, there are no plans to market circuit...
I'm not building much these days, so I'm selling off a few things...one of them is something that you will likely NEVER see again.... a FULL BOX of 250 NOS, American Made germanium transistors ! These are Texas Instruments 2N1305 transistors, which are a PNP germanium with an hfe range from 40-200 (typically 70-150 or so). These are untested, but I've tested lots of these American Made Texas Instruments germaniums before, and was VERY happy with the usable ratio of them. They sound unbelievable...
Just thought I'd spread the word. I have no affiliation with .
This is the email I got:
Hello All,
As many of you may know, I will be going in for surgery in a few weeks, and I would like to go in with a big push...
I am offering up our 3pdt switches at 3.99/each in unlimited quantities.
I am also doing 100 3pdt switches at $375, which will also qualify for free shipping for domestic customer, and reduced shipping for our international friends
I need a couple of the above, either is fine. Just don't want to pay for shipping when the parts cost is so low. Pm me your address and I'll mail a couple bucks your way.
I am wondering if anyone can help with a quick question. I recently had the
switch fail in my Ibanez TS5 Tubescreamer and I would like to find a switch
to replace it. Does anyone know the part number of the switch or know where I can get one?
I have been trying a LOT of germanium transistors lately, basically everything NKT, OC and AC.
IMO the NKT types does sound worse in my test circuits (Tonebender MK2, Fuzz Face, Rangemaster) and while i can get them to work and sound pretty decent with a lot of tweaking i pretty much prefer the Mullard and Tungsram OC and AC types.
Especially the OC44 can be good, while the AC188 and AC128 being my first choice in a PNP circuit.
I also have a couple of eastern european types made in Russia and...
I was just wondering where you guys get your 3PDT true bypass switches from and how much they cost. The prices I've seen vary wildly from as much as $15 per switch (!) to around $9.50 per switch. I dug a little deeper and did some research, and through my old work (high-end audio electronics company) I was able to get a distribution account and get these switches very cheap. I would have to buy fairly large quantities to get a good price, but if enough people on this board (and possibly other...
I bought a pair pickups a couple days back, and they turned out to be complete POS's, and they said they can't make me a full refund because I stripped the leads  , so instead of buying another pair of shitty pickups I figure a good iron would really ease my pain, seeing as how I'm working with a god-knows-how-old Weller 35w with a rusting chisel tip, no stand and a blackened kitchen sponge (don't worry there's no soap on it) - there's also...
I ordered 1N34A from futurlec and they sent me little bags on which were written 1N34A but the diodes in there were 1N60P (looking like 1N4148). I told futurlec and they resent the diodes but made the same mistake again. When searching the forum on 1N34A, sometimes they were assosiated with the 1N60, so are they basically the same?
