Amplifier is build on standard tube topology and suitable for home low audio lewel playing.
Measurements an 1W output power:
Amplitude-frequency response (presence min)
the influence of presence control with the different values of C13 (according to schematics)
THD at 1kHz
Transformer primary coil impedance Ra-a is 360 Ohm.
I used rewinded 15W power transformer for output one.
Only one requirement - the thickness of plates of transformer core must be not more than 0.35 mm.

i want to do an flour version of engl rb100 preamp from engl blackmore amp. I have schematics of this. I want to do it on pcb because that will be an pedal not an normal preamp. But i don't have so big skills to do an pcb can someone help me do the pcb for this preamp please?
i add file with schematics of engl preamp only thing you must to change is:
R26 change to half
I'm looking to build a portable, pedalboard-mounted Class D poweramp project for myself and I was wondering if anyone had used a Class D module to do so.
The Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170 uses an ICEpower 50ASX2BTL module and I was wondering how easy it would be to create a pedal-sized amp to go with different preamp pedals and circuits that I've built (or are in the works). I wouldn't need the preamp that the SD uses, just the power.
I'm a paint-by numbers diy-er who has made dozens of pedal...
Please could someone offer some advice? I'm building the m15mk1 amp (18w marshall lite typology) from a kit and had come across some problems;
I completed all the wiring and triple checked everything. Voltages are all fine as per the schematic that was provided +/- 5%.
However, when I plug in, I get a horrible distorted gated sound (with a low level hum in the background).
Ive don't some tests and discovered that if I remove one of the power valves, it sounds amazing and as Id expect (save...
I tried to mod a MG15 clone circuit to a blues breaker to be used as the preamp. I lost a lot of the signal level. Only difference is no input resistor or capacitor jack in is tied directly to + (3) of the opamp and there's a 1M resistor tied to ground. Any input would be really appreciated. My attempt is to have clean to crunch preamp driving the power. I've kept the tonestack although I replaced marshall parts for fender ones as in Duncan's Tone Stack Calculator.
Hello I was wanting to see if somebody could tell me how this compressor works in the 2101 . It doesn’t work only in bypass. If I turn it on it turns off all the sound. I was doing the compressor setup from tube tester sight you should be able to turn p2 trimmer until you get 0vdc or +or- 30mV on pin 1 of u9a. All I get is around 9vdc. So I changed p2 trimmer and u9a with new ones hoping that would fix it that didn’t do anything. If someone could look at the schematic tell what causing we’re I...
Schematic London City DEA 100/130 london_city_dea130.pdf
This is an English summary of information that widely available on the web in Dutch. Here are some links:
In the early 70's there was a record store owner in Amsterdam, Jan De Waal , who already imported Vox amps into the Netherlands, and was asked to provide Marshall amplifiers. Now, in typical Dutch fashion, Jan thought them to be a bit expensive for what they were and decided to contact a local electronics repairman and...
Anyone come across a full schematic for this thing yet? I cannot seem to find one. I have a tiny terror schematic so I know the preamp layout, but I am curious as to the SS power amp. I saw a video that said they are using a JFET based power amp that simulates the 'tube sound'.
If I put a 16Ω speaker on an output transformer that wants to see 8Ω or 4Ω, does it stress the output transformer or the power tubes? And the other way around: do I stress or damage the speaker?
Why don't I notice any problems? Is it because I'm just playing the amp for an hour a week? (and not 5 days a week for 6 hours continuously)
Hi everyone,
So, last year i aquired this beautiful thing:
g100.jpg
It's a Meteoro(a brazilian manufacturer) Vulcano G100 100w 2x10, and if you look closely to its panel, it clearly shows its roots: it is basically a Valvestate 8080 copy (a weird copy, with a Valvestate preamp going into a Gallien Krueger 400RB power amp :hmmm: but it works).
And i've been doing all sorts of things to it like modding the clean channel to be more fenderish(wich took away a lot of the channel's headroom,...
I bought this wreck of a Selmer TnB50 for hardly any money - but may still too much. I knew it wasn't working and humming loudly, I wasn't informed of the fact that it was humming without a speaker connected. The head cabinet and OT are non-original, rectifier socket is empty and has a solid state rectifier installed.
3A and 5A fuses where you want to see .5A and 1.5A. I put in the correct values, removed the tubes and fired up the amp again, HT .5A fuse blew again.
I have a slightly better scan of the schematic than the one usually found on the net. If you want an even more detailed scan, please send me a message.
I want to highpass my Infinium T5 head. In terms of a series capacitor adding a 6db treble slope to everything - so probably starting quite high in frequency.
AFAIK there is no T5 schematic at this point, but there is a V5 schematic which is very similar but has a single tone control and is not SMD.

I already have a 500pf across the volume control and other treble boosting mods, but are still needing to use an eq pedal when at TV volumes - want to really cut the lows...
I ran a search and I know this has been talked about in various ways but a lot of the links are dead..
Could anyone layout how to make a ‘Variable Line Out Box with a Ground Lift switch’ for various tube amps up to 100watts to route to a WET Rig? I don’t need any cab simulation..
Thru Speaker Jacks
Potentiometer
Line Out Jack
Ground Lift Switch?
I do understand they are NOT Load boxes and must have speakers connected.
I bought a old digitech 2101 got a good deal on it. Everything works on it accept it sounds like crap lol. All of the tube distortion and solid state distortion works but they sound like crap even the clean sound sounds bad. It’s kinda hard to explain but I can almost here the good sound in the background. Anybody got any suggestions I could check. I was wondering if the high voltage and low voltage filter caps need to be replaced. Considering the unit is 27 years old. I have checked out all...
Is this the correct schematic for a Fender Deluxe 90 Footswitch? If so what is the input at +/- ? Since I'm trying to figure out how this switch works...
Hello to everyone.
I am an happy owner of one of these cool crate VC5212 90's amplifiers.
1) I have applied to it the modification explained in an old post find on the web (the last row speaking about C5 is mine):
Lead channel
R11 - change from 221k to 100k
C1 - remove
R12 - change from 2.74k to 1.5k
R59 - change from 470k to 242k
C11 - change from 470pf to .0068uf
Add 47pf ceramic cap between pins 1 and 2 of V2 (this improves high frequency stability, and a smaller value may work just...
Earlier this week, one of my best friends dropped-off for me at my place an old 80's Tascam M-520 20 Ch Analog studio mixing desk, plus the power supply, this is going to be a fun restoration project for myself because I'm planning on using it in my studio hopefully with my Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, assuming I can get them to play nicely with each other.
Here's a pic of the mixing desk set-up in my little studio room:
I'm building a sort of jcm800 type tube preamp with a master volume right after the cathode follower/tone stack stage. Nothing unusual. My question is do I need a coupling cap after the master volume? This will be the output. I know this is obvious to most of you, but I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated.
I got this head amplifier to repair.
It had issues in protection circuit block.
I searched the net, asked T.E. for schematic, no way....
So I reversed engineered it.
This schematic is the missing part of the .gif I also attached (sorry for the author, I don't know whoever he is...) for archive purpose
