Hello guys recently I bought a used Marshall VS15 (8015), but sometimes the sound fails, and I don't no how it happens. I'm searching for a schematic or a service manual from this amplifier.
I want to mod my fender aa864 to add a master volume ( post phase inverter ). But I have a question... The cable thick does matters? The cable that I have is a XLR mic cable.
I have a Mesa Boogie Mark IV that doesn't fully power up or produce sound. When powered the tubes glow, but nothing else shows power. The amp doesn't make any sound but a decent hum that does change messing around with a couple dials. Where do I start?
Some years ago I found a web called ampclones, that sell kits for build amps. But now this webpage is down. Anyone have the pcb's for build a Mesa Boogie Mark II? or the layouts?
I would like to learn the theory of tube amplification and characteristics of tubes in order to design and test a basic tube preamp. Its gonna be a long road and I'm just starting out. I've got some experience. Built some pedals and basic amp kits but I'm ignorant to a lot of the theory.
I am reading about common cathode stages using a triode. Im beginning to read about load lines and how these can determine gain/headroom characteristics but getting caught up on some of the terminology on...
I prepared these images for a GK800RB restoration project I was working on a while back. I ended up repairing the original power amp board instead of etching a new one from scratch.
I thought it would be a good idea to archive these drawings here just in case they could be useful to someone else in the future.
NOTE: these have not been verified. I have triple checked my work, but I cannot guarantee that they are 100% correct.
If you find any errors, please post them here and I will...
i have a question how many amperage of the diode bridge if i use a transformer 220volts on primary and 15-0-15v on secondary and its a 6 ampere transformer??
I saw one of these for sale locally, did not find a lot of information but did score a schematic on some odd site. Haven't bought it (yet).
Once you make it through the annoying intro the demo quite nice. Sounds a bit thin, though... but that's probably the speakers. Still has potential I think.
Hey I'm making someone a cabinet merger and was working with some really heavy gauge wire, but its kind of a pain in such a tiny box with small jacks. Would it be OK for me to just use small gauge wire for such a short distance or would that limit the wattage he could use?
Hi everyone, first time poster here. Anyways I wanted to see if anyone has, or would know how to ad an fx loop to an Orange micro terror. I know someone built a clone from the schematic found here . After doing some searching around, it seemed that the lack of a schematic is what kept people from trying it but maybe I'm wrong.
I have two handwired chinese 5f1 champ clones, one a Golden Ton Smart-10 and one a Storm Smart-10.
The look identical but they sound very different. I would like to understand why.
One is quite bright and the volume control works as expected. It also takes a while to warm up and pass sound. Let's call it A .
The other one passes sound instantly, is darker tonally and the volume control works almost like a linear pot, even though it is an audio pot. Let's call it B .
Can anybody tell me, for what price i can really by the Pignose Legendary 7-100 in middle Europe, for example? (It is a small battery powered guitar travel amp).
Hi guys i just got a micro crush and im looking to add a speaker out to it. Ive searched and all ive found is a hand drawn schematic and talk about changing the diodes etc but not to to add a speaker out.
On the ms2 and fender mini its just a matter of putting a jumper across the right resistor im hoping its the same on this :D
Ive already opened the amp and had a look at the board i'll attach the pictures when i copy them to my pc , when i opened it it looked like it had taken a splash but...
In a Dual Rectifier, 1uF capacitors are connected to the cathode. Via an LDR or resistor to GND.
But when I look at the PCB these are not ordinary electrolyte capacitors, but yellow capacitors that look very similar to the construction of a resistor. The + side seems to be a bit tapered. See image below. Picture is not from the DR, but from another Mesa. But it only concerns the type of capacitor.
Someone any idea what type of capacitor this is, and what the advantage is, compared to an...
Hi everyone I want a build a Soldano HR50 I was cloning pedals 3-4 times and I need an amp now so I decided to build one.Can anyone help to me about How I need (turret board transistor etc.) ?
Or any advice ? ( Like do this amp first etc)
unfortunately i don't have the footswitch/remote switch, which is the only way to go from lead to clean(!)
so....
i've searched everywhere and i can find the schem for that footswitch
it has a 4 pin din unlike most peavey amps that have a 5 to 7 pin dins
Hi all. Just sharing my build notes for anyone else. I've put together a single tube preamp based on the old Ampeg B15N. It uses a 12VAC input from a wall wart and then a transformer to step up the voltages for the plates. This is a pretty standard design choice with 12A*7 tubes because the filaments can run straight off of the wall wart voltage. However the B15N used 6SL7 octal preamp tubes. To deal with that issue I used a 12SL7 which by all accounts seems to be a 6SL7 designed to run on 12V...
I am looking for info and the building description of dual rectifier from Ampclones. Since the Ampclones website has been offline for a number of years, I am trying to retrieve info from the forum ampclones via wayback machine. Unfortunately I cannot get further than the attached image. Does anyone have this documentation, or does someone know a way to still retrieve the info, then I would have been greatly helped with that.
Long time stalker, first time poster..
(Mods: feel free to move this post to the most appropriate sub-forum if this one is wrong.)
I've been wanting to have a means of hooking my Vox AC4 directly into my Behringer UMC202HD for computer recording. This would be to bypass the amp's speaker. Obviously, I shouldn't just send the 1/4 cabinet output to the AI as that would likely melt something. The answer seems to be loadbox , but all the commercially available ones seem extremely expensive given...
Can anybody help me out
What is this brown thing covering the resistors? Could it be on purpose when assembling the amp or are the resistors starting to fail?
I've mesured them from the bottom of the board and they are ok, on the top of the board i don't get any readings.
I'm looking at these because my bogner alchemist is changing channels on it's own.
I've looked at a schematic and noticed that these resistors are in the path that gives 3.3v, witch is the voltage for the...
hi all, im just looking for a small simple tube amp schematic, without the pre-amp just amp, cause i want mi guitar signal the clearer and natural possible without any filter on it....
