Introduction
Eagle CAD offers the best value for individuals and small businesses. However some of its user interface features are different from what we normally expect. For those of us who layout boards occasionally, it is an effort to relearn the Eagle CAD each time we come back to it. I have tried to document the Eagle CAD user interface idiosyncracies here to make it easier to do PCB layou with it.
Greetings,
I'm the author of DIYLC software and I'd like to let you guys know that new version is under development. It's completely new architecture, it's written in Java so it works virtually anywhere, much easier to work with, etc. Components are not part of the application, but external library files which can be added/modified later.
It's still under development so not everything is perfect (or at least as close as I'd like it to be).
Here's download link, just unzip the file and run the...
Hi,
Just found that site! From there you can download free software for designing active filters!
Enjoy!
Just to mention - I am looking for a source on the net to download Active Filters Cookbook ( Don Lancaster)! Any help with this? Thanks in advance1
Are there any tutorials around for using LTSpice for stompboxes? I'd like to make use of this software to help me understand circuits better, but I can't quite figure it out.
Here's the original link from ax84 with the description and download link:
At the moment it's mostly tube oriented, but someone may find it useful
Cheers,
Bane
I initially installed Eagle using the Add/Remove Applications program, but that only installs version 4.16. So, I tried installing the newest version from the cadsoft site, but can't figure out how to install it. I downloaded the .run file, but can't seem to do anything with it. I'm not all that great with the ins and outs of Linux to begin with, so any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
I drew a schematic and was satisfied with the result. I'm new to eagle and don't know all about it, so I deleted the parts names instead of just turning off that layer of view. If I use the name tool and click on a part I will get the name in that window, but is there a way to se the parts names in the schematic?
I found this cool online schematic drawing application while I was browsing the Project G5 site.
It's in French, but it's easy to use. My skill with French is poor and I was able to figure it out!
CHECK IT OUT!!
:D
I am trying to get the layouts from the BK Butler Tube Driver post converted in the CAD software to submit fr production. I am new to the software and can't find anywhere to convert these files back to CAD or Gerber type files for submission. Can someone help me out please. I just want to make a few boards and I will be on my way.
Second, can i use a schematic afrom anywhere and import them to the PCB software to make a board? How do you do that. Thanks guys...greg
WatKat is a digital “clone” of a Wem Watkins “Custom” Copicat. It sounds very lo-fi, noisy, irregular. When you turn it off and leave the tape loaded, the tape bends in proximity of the capstan, and this turns into a periodic pitch fall during echo playback; plus, it gets hot and the background hum gets worse in time... you should turn it off every now and then; the tape is never completely erased, and the capstan motor flutters... and it gets worse if you touch it while it's spinning; heads...
Some are free, some are not. Usefulness mileage will vary ;)
resistulator (very useful widget)
eagle (make schematics and PCB layouts)
intaglio (useful drawing program)
crossover - run your win xp on mac os x ( a little buggy)
iwatermark - mark your schematics for copyright (nice)
mac the scope (not working well)
macspice
flickr uploader - transfer files to flickr account (photos, gif etc)
diy layout creator java version (buggy)
About a week ago I read something at bogner´s webpage, I think it was a letter written by a Marshall ingenier talking about PCB design when it comes to audio. He claimed that there is acertain way in wich you have to array the components (ones in paralel others perpendicular), distances from components to each others, width of traces and pads and many other things had a significant effect on the quality of the sound and noise reduction. This is the link to the letter
It's been sitting on my shelf unopened for about a year. I watched the online demos yesterday and while I'm skeptical about the autorouting it does look interesting. It'll do double-sided PCB's and Gerber files too. I should probably install it and give it a try.
I recently got Visio 2003 up and running on my Linux box (via Crossover Office), and I also have OmniGraffle on my Mac. I just thought I'd put out some feelers and see if anyone else here used Visio or any of you Mac guys use OmniGraffle for doing parts layouts. Both programs have nice built-in schematic symbols, but I'm having a hell of a time finding passive component drawings.
Deaj was nice enough to give me his Corel Draw library for components, but I can't seem to find a way to get the...
Here's a small tip how to get a decent guitar sound without tens of analogue filters and complicated hardware speaker simulators, without need to buy any digital modeller, plugins etc. It's completely freeware.
We all know that the sound offered by most commercial and DIY analogue speaker simulators is quite different than a typical sound got with miked guitar cab. Even a big number of filters cannot get us close to the structure of the distorted sound, this grit that one can hear when playing...
