Well, did a search and didnt come up with anything on the Teese Picture Wah...so here are some pics !
Obviously CC resistors...Halo inductor....I'm guessing BC109 transistors about 350-400hfe. Nice looking build (the red wire in the bottom picture is not stock...it's from a Foxrox retrofit). Probably just a good sounding wah. No special tricks , just good parts and build.
Is there a difference between say a Lovepedal Eternity and a Digitech Bad Monkey? They are both built with SMD boards.
Eternity = 279.00
Bad Monkey = 39.99
The Halophaze has a knob labled Feedback and the description from the website says...
The Feedback knob (global) has a 12:00 center detent. In the center detent feedback is
completely off. Turning the Feedback knob clockwise adds positive feedback, which enhances
the phasing peaks and notches. Turning the Feedback knob counter-clockwise adds negative
feedback, which adds a filtered effect - very good with bass guitar.
Up for auction is a custom made overdrive pedal by Mr. Huge. At this time it's not completed and Mr. Huge isn't sure exactly what it will be. However, he says it will be some sort of overdrive / fuzz thingy....
Paint by Donner.
A quote from Mr. Huge:
I've had an idea for quite some time to combine the feel of a FET type OD with the smoothness of a diode clipping OD. I did something similar on the Fat Sandwich, but it never made it into production. I have no idea how this one...
Hey guys, do any of you know anything about this pedal? Go to Low Gain Booster tab on top left, then click RMG Treble -Booster
It's mentioned in this thread: and I found this schematic:
And then this image that uses a different tranny. The image is big, so here's the link:
It seems like a basic/simple circuit most likely based on the Range Master. A friend is interested in this pedal so I'm looking into building him something similar. The site doesn't indicate if a Ge tranny or Si tranny...
Another nice guy, so intent on helping out people that he'd rather repair your Wah for return postage than tell you what transistor he uses.
He tell you at enormous length you're using the wrong wah pot without saying why it is wrong or could be improved. Almost gets into a Vzex like fit about it toward the end.
Trust me on this one folks, as I know the heritage of all the pots out there. I know what came from where and from whom. Nonetheless, all the other wah buillders, and I do mean ALL,...
seen layouts / schematics for the Rust Driver, but has anyone got any info on the Rust Ride, which is the Bass overdrive? I tried to buy one of these, but the UK distributor crapped out on me.... so maybe I can make one myself, of failing that, mod a rust drive for bass???
Looking at various schematics of TS derivatives - Lovepedal, Landgraff etc., etc., I notice that some of of them have a Vref bias to the second opamp stage and some of them don't. The original Ibanez pedal does.
Before I get out the breadboard I'd like to ask the experts opinion here - what's the purpose of the Vref at this point (given that it appears it can be left off), and what are the pros and cons tone-wise?
Anyone have any experience w/these? They certainly raise the bar for expensive pedals, $600-$1200! I hear that they're very good sounding. Evidently the Tape Echo unit is based on a Boss DD-2, seems like I heard another was based on a Big Muff, the G-2 maybe. I've never even seen one, thought about buying one just to check it out, there's a 3-4 month wait on a $700 pedal. Nice work if you can get it-
Hi there, I was checking to see if anyone has some info on the Cusack Screamer Fuzz - it must be fairly simple as it's supposed to be a TS + FF, but can't hardly find any information, or soundclips, and I am not about to spend $200 to try it out!
I saw in some of the resource links a link to some vero layouts which I checked out, good stuff but I was wondering if there was a gallery somewhere or another site someone knew of that had a bunch of boutique pedal vero/ perf layouts....
A friend just got this pedal and says it doesn't have enough gain for him. I've moded my own TS9 and built 2 808 clones so I'm fairly familiar w/ this circuit. I'm just wondering if there's any major differences w/ the OD-9 before he brings his over. Oh, and I think he got the Analogman one w/ the magical Silver Mod. I wish he consulted me first!
