Pretty surprised to find this official Honey Bee schematic along with a DIY kit:
Might be old news to some, but I wanted to upload the schematic before it disappears.
Wasn't sure if I should bump the old BJF Honey Bee thread from 2009, the values all match up but I guess it is technically a different version. The old thread is a nice time capsule, pretty funny to see comments like I hear Honey Bee's are vapour wear and may perhaps not exist other than in cyberspace;)
I was just wondering (and hoping BJF could answer this one) if the new Mighty Red distortion is a remake or inspired by the handmade Dyna Red distortion.
I heard some really good coments about the dyna, is it still being made?
Hi! I have an interesting device. I started working on drawing his schematic. Everything is clear. Give me time and I'll draw a diagram. If someone already has a scheme, we will cooperate. :horsey:
I had only limited time with one and was able to take this pic and write down all the component values. I took a pic of the values I wrote down, just ask if some cant be seen. I wish I could have taken out the pcb and got a trace side pic but it wasn't my pedal and they wouldn't let me. Maybe someone else can get a trace side photo or from the components piece together how it works.
Does anyone have this pedal? I really like its sound, but I have no opportunity to buy it. Based on the gut shots I found on the Internet, it looks like a hybrid between op-amp and classic big muff

If someone is also interested in this pedal and he can understand the circuit, or at least the principle of operation of this pedal, I would be very grateful
any body play or have one of these ? curious to find out what mods might have been done to original rat, maybe a refinement of the ruetz mod, which is ok but seems to take off a little too much distortion and makes it less forward overall.
Came across a gutshot of this new one from Bearfoot, basically a Bearfoot Blueberry Bass OD with an added treble control:

Anyone have one of these yet?
I received one of these in for repair. First thing that struck me odd was the spaghetti of wires. Then I saw the diodes and cap on the input jack. Now I had to trace it and figure out what was going on.
It says true bypass right on the front by the footswitch. :)
I couldn't read the value of C3. It's kind of rubbed off. I don't know the value of the drive pot yet either. Everything else seems correct though believe it or not. I'll have this for the next week at least so if you want me to...
Here are some pictures of my personal Dunwich Wizard Fuzz #85. As it's quite a rare and now unobtainium unit, I decided to trace it.
I carefully took it apart, unsoldered all components, measured the resistors with a multimeter, measured the transistors with Atlas DC55 and noted everything down.
Then I traced it using Illustrator and drew a schematic on Kicad. I made sure my schematic doesn't contain any error, as I redid the original pcb layout on Kicad.
Hey all, Joe from GBE here.
Found this Barber Edge Hog on Reverb, seems like a pretty under-the-radar pedal.
Did a video on it for my YT channel. Sound samples, gutshots, similar schematics, etc.
Basically a Rat with germanium diodes and a second opamp stage for the bass control.
This thread has gone on to be +33 pages, almost 600 posts and 70.000 views. We should give out awards to builders, or rather: to marketing departments. This looks like the hype of the year. The thread used to be longer even; I have cut out all the banter, speculation, but kept to the rule that any discussion on the circuit should stay. Took me a day or three to wade through this... I might still split off all Build reports, which would cut down the thread to 11...
