This was more about me getting the hang of Express PCB's schematic software than an earth shaking revelation. There may be drawing errors but the values are correct.
Just wondering if any of you have had a chance to look under the hood of any of the Jacques boxes. I am interested in the Mercer Box. Wasn't sure where to post this as he makes both boutique and standard pedals.
When I first heard about this pedal, I though it might be a JFET-for-tube type circuit, like the DR Boogey DIY project. But, I have read that it uses opamps. Opamps-for-tubes? Anyway, just really curious about that circuit. Anyone analized it yet?
Was looking around fr some info and came across this:
And this from Ryan at Dr Scientist:
Hi gents! Thanks very much for the nice comments and the support, we sure appreciate it!
I'd be happy to shed some light on the similarities between The Tremolessence and the Semaphore, although I've never actually seen one in person.
I think a lot of us with electronics training (I have a diploma in EET) probably draw from a similar bag of tricks, as there's a few great ways to do everything in...
It has a HUGE price for something as 'simple' as a buffer; so, what happens inside this one? Is it worth it above something like an AMZ Super Buffer on 18V?
Hopefully this will serve as a bit of welcome on my behalf, and as a thank you for the questions I will be asking. I know this is a variation of a TS, but with the options (and having never actually played a TS) I'm not sure which settings correspond to the TS.
I figured this should have its own thread. This is a really nice sounding envelope filter, this thing sounds just as good as the Lovetone Meatball but is a lot more compact, and is much easier to dial in as well.
Here's the gut shots, this is the original version of this pedal, not the current version, which is smaller and has fewer controls. The jpegs are too big to display properly on this board, so just drag or right-click to save them to your desktop.
I'm too broke to get one. I would probably get The Cream anyway. Anyone know anything about the circuits in these? The website says: A unique bi-fet integrated circuit and matched discrete FET’s are designed to emulate the smooth overload and musical second order distortion of a tube circuit quietly, musically, and reliably. Doesn't sound like a Zendrive clone.
this is a sample rate reducer, which is the analog counterpart of the digital bitcrusher. this is achieved with a very tailored sample and hold circuit and the resulting effect is also often compared to ring modulation at certain settings
I picked up one of these today. Apparently, it's a fuzz face and an octavia, with some tweaks.
Maybe not the most groundbreaking pedal, but here are some PCB shots if anyone's interested.
check out kinda Cornish TES inspired delay by Japanese company Providence. Providence is official delar of Pete Cornish in Japan and engineer guy is one of a few people who was permitted to repair Cornish products. I expected to see famous big chip from Boss DD-2 but there's different on. Check this out.
This pedal has a pretty long story. Originally HBE put out a version that used an SAD1024 but those dried up pretty quick so they stopped making them. It took about a year before they started making them again and as I suspected they have the same MN3007 adaptation that Oldschoolanalog on DIY Stompboxes came up with for the Moosapotamus boards. Not sure if they came up with theirs independently but it seems possible that as soon as the adaptation showed up they dropped it onto their boards so...
Here is another one of RnFR's pedals we traced last weekend.

Schematic is already done and will follow shortly... need to get it re-drawn! 8)
In Guitar Player magazine, March 2009, there's a test about 21 new distortion pedals, one of the editors' pick is reserved to the Lovepedal Provalve.
The review is fantastic , for example: Let's cut to the chase: This pedal sounds great. It sounds and feels like an amp enough to be very curious about it.
Does anyone has any shot of the inside?
