I still am trying to understand the schematic and layout of the Tim from or .
It seems to me that R9-R10 (or in the vero layout H-N14 and K-N7) is a voltage divider providing 4.5V. Since we feed 9V, shouldn't R9 and R10 be equal in order to get 4.5V?
This one is not your usual stompbox, as it is designed to use with a vocal mic. I was looking for a death by audio echo master schematic, with no success.
And yesterday a friend of mine bring me this boutique clone edit: looking at this thread: I realised the term clone doesnt really apply here (use of transformers etc) but the main idea is the same. It´s basically a mic preamp with an effect loop for stompbox and a build in delay. I think the mic pre and loop could be interesting for everyone...
I've been hunting down this pedal for a while after EQD featured it on their youtube channel.
This is second version, 350 made for prymaxe. There is a V1 of which only ~20 were made.

Here is my guess for V1 based on the screenshot below from that youtube video. THIS IS AN APPROXIMATION, USE WITH CAUTION.
Specifically, I'm not sure about the emitter connection for Q2, either the 1K or 470R might be an emitter resistor....
Sorry to bother you all. But I am looking at a way to pass the hat around so the Dumbloid can be traced. There are a few of us from the Gear page who are curious to see where the origin lies from...
Let me know what I have to do to get this over the line.
I sent a bunch of pics to AG a while back, but I know he has a lot more important things to worry about these days...
Unfortunately I dont have wiring photos (and I can't remember the name of the guy who sent these pics to me....) , but these should get us close. We'll just have to make an educated guess about the pot values and wiring.
I've played these a few times and always liked them.
The usability is insanely bad, you have to have fairy fingers with the stock knobs in order to use the second gain knob. The stompswitches are way to close together.
Anyway, I found one used and picked it up. Was surprised to find mostly through hole components, and pretty well made. Not surprised at all to find a sanded IC.
I started to trace and to be honest with y'all, I got bored. I did find a few discrepancies with the RC...
Box of Rock variant, with minor changes to cap values Q2/3 source resistors and D-G bias resistor of Q3 so would be quite possible to do a BoR/'59 Sound mode switch with a 4P3T rotary.
I like this more than i remember liking the BoR when i made one years ago, but i just don't like having a single BMP style tilt tone pot and am considering putting a Bassman tonestack on the end instead - If anyone has any advice/suggestions/experience of doing...
Hi Guys,
yesterday a frind of mine give me a Darkglass Duality to try.
I just opened it and shoot some pictures.
It is based on 4049UBE CMOS.
All Pots are 100kB except for the Level Pot which is 100kA.
unfortunately I cannot hold the pedal so I will start tracing the pedal from the photos. In the next few months I will have the opportunity to have the pedal back in my hands and check all the connections. If someone has the pedal and wants to help me, you can write to me in PM.
Getting this thread started. Will come back to it later this evening and update with schematic and pics. I have the neat CAD drawing almost complete, so please be patient for a couple hours, will upload after I'm home from work.
A Kauffman Audio Appliances Aurora overdrive just landed on my bench. I've finished the trace and it's a Timmy with a few parts changed - mostly to the detriment of what makes the Timmy sound great, IMO.
Quick rundown of core differences:
JRC4558 opamp instead of 4559...
Just stumbled across this on the web. It appears to stabilize the effect of temperature on the transistors via a proprietary circuit . Any guesses as to what's going on here?
I am really curious of this circuit.
Weeks ago, I found a review where the owners showed the inside, and the pcb was scripted The Dude .
So, based on a ODR-1 ?
But the tone stack sounds different to my ears...
This has been discussed but there is no definitive schematic here.
The theories are that it's either an Octavia or Bobtavia rework.
Anyone have one for study?
I took a few shots of the TonoMatch ProTubeScreamer.
It is a high quality pedal in mechanical and electrical workmanship.
Jacks with gold-plated contacts.
True bypass with relay and electronic control.
Only film capacitors in the signal path.

This is my first time posting here... I've been trying, for the better part of a year, to obtain this pedal. It beautifully replicates the sound of the Beatles - and much better than premium and expensive alternatives like Aclam's Dr. Robert or Jext Telez's White Pedal (no dis). Hear for yourself! Unfortunately the maker has gone completely AWOL... I was able to get a few replies from him last year but he disappeared. I think he's had enough with making pedals. His website and official social...
Considering only about 50 of the Rockman Ultimatum Distortion Generator pedals were ever released, and having gotten my hands on one for a time, I thought it wise to trace and verify the circuit. I spent a good amount of time, coincidentally with Robert (@PedalPCB) doing a trace of the same pedal at the same time, I took the time to breadboard the circuit based on the trace I made - but without the low-battery and buffered-bypass sections.
The complete set of notes, layouts and schematic is...
I searched for gut shots of this one and didn't find any. So, I am just letting you know that I've got a hold of this one and hope to put up the gut shots this weekend. That is, if anyone is interested... :D
So I had never heard of the church of Tone.
An old friend of mine bought one of my DS1 pedals and he asked me if I were still fixing stuff and I said yes.
He had he said it with an older model.
Didn't work from the day he got it had the Box and everything.
I cracked it open and I looked at the board and noticed there's 2 capacitors missing.
Lo and behold it's the input and the output capacitors.
Now the strange thing is this is the exact same schematic layout as everything that I have...
