This pedal looks really neat, I was wondering if anyone has taken a look inside? These are really new, I don't know if he is even making them full time yet.
here is a link to a picture. , I would like to put together a tiny pedal board to go with my fender champ, this would be perfect!
I was perusing over at BYOC and noticed they are releasing a new product called the OD2 which is a total mosfet conversion . I downloaded the instructions to take a peek at the schematic and it is perplexing.
I try not to ask too many general technical questions (I tend to embarrass myself) but here's the thing: what is the advantage of using mosfets for i/o buffers? If it's not a signal shaper then why bother? Is it just mojo? Also, it looks like the buffers are just a copy of the SHO with a...
Hey guys. I just purchased a non-deluxe Moon Phaser from a guy on another forum, and I'm a little confused. I have gutshots posted below (click to enlarge and apologies for the camera phone).
First off, I opened the pedal before I even played it (habit I suppose). When I got it opened I noticed that there was a stereo jack for the output and a mono for the input? :hmmm: Not very conventional especially since the gutshots of the Deluxe show a stereo jack on the input.
Hi everybody.
This is my first post on your fine forum. I have an older Voodoo Vibe (non true bypass) and I was wondering if there was someway to remove the buffer from the circuit?
I find it makes the signal quite hard sounding both when the effect is on and when it is bypassed. What I dislike about the sound when the pedal is engaged is the same as what I dislike about it when bypassed.
I saw mention of a simple mod to do this elsewhere online but have been unable to figure it.
I'd love to see what makes a Tiny Orange Phaser so pricey.
Hi
Well, it requires some matched components and it has one of the tightest layouts as in close to a mobile phone in a layout that would not be possible without three layers...
Really I'd guess it's mostly due to cost of worktime for the assemblyline- in a scale these things are made it s redicoulous to have things made by hand, but being oldfashioned I'd like that.......
You know outsourcing to low wage countries could seem...
I checked to see if anybody had already posted something on this and I couldn't find anything. So, if am being redundant I apologize.
This buffer is a very interesting idea. And barber posts his own gut shots!! :)
Check it out:
I am thinking about buying one just to study it. If i do, i'll post pics here of the pcb traces. Most likely they won't be too hard to decipher with some help form the forum since all of Barber's stuff I've ever encountered is absolutely wonderful in terms of design...
