can someone help me with the high voltage supply. In the schematic there is a transformer, but i cant find one which would match (1:14 or something like this ).

Also i was thinking about a voltage supply like the Nixie Supply. Would it be a solution that will work well?

It has about 270vdc on the high voltage. Nixie supplies usually only get up to around 180vdc.

Do like EH does. Use a 240VAC to 12VAC transformer and power the 12VAC secondary with a 12vac adapter.

You used to be able to buy their "high voltage pedal" transformers from New Sensor. It's been a while, I don't remember now.

They don't sell them anymore. They also used to sell the tube pedal chassis.

thanks for the help. i was thinking about the "connect the transformer in reverse as usual" but i thought, there would be a easier way, like the power boost from one of the submini amps like the murder one. but i'll try it with a little print transformer.

I know it's over a year later I hope you found a solution.

The problem is that EHX decided to give the tone controls pretty funky values.

The key to this pedal is keeping the high control almost all the way down

mids at least halfway and the bass to taste.

The high control is just way way outta wack.Needs the cap values change.

Just a quick question, what capacitor values does eh use stock for the english muffin?
Also, what values would you recomend for replacements?

IMHO it's like the tube driver pedals. The ones with the 3 band eq. The treble control is like the fizz control.

So it's the tone stack that's the problem on these huh? Every sound clip I've heard of this thing sounds absolutely horrible, IMO. Glad to know it may just need a simple tweak.

Ya I thought it might be appreciated.Great bunch there at the forum.

The tone stack calculator is fun though not having a aural reference does place a practical limit on it's usefulness.

It certainly gave me a new appreciation for designers though.How the *&*k anybody went through all the circuit value possible permutations is stem boggling.
