Thanks, Manfred.

It looks like the TC1044S doubles the supply voltage, so it's permanently 18V internal? Those can be a source of high pitched whine, if things aren't quite right, of course.

I don't see a volume knob, in the schematic. I assume it's a 100K pot, or maybe a 10k pot, across the output?

It would be nice to see some gut shots. I had assumed all of Caline's analog pedals were through-hole, but I see the Red Devil isn't, from mirosol's picture of it:

https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=28774

I have modified a couple of pedals built with SMD parts, like that, but it's pushing the limit of what I can do, and I'd far rather work on through-hole ones, like the Orange Burst and Pure Sky.

I don't see a volume knob, in the schematic.
You cannot see it, since in that case it is "LEVEL" called.

Thanks, Manfred.

Calling it Level wasn't the problem - I just missed seeing it all together. I'm so used to seeing a pot across the output, which is a bit half-assed, but seems to be the most common way of doing it.

I finally managed to get one of these. They used to be all over ebay, but it's hard to find them now.

I wanted to compare this to the Mosky Plexi-m because the Plexi-m had a background fizz to it, noticeable on note decay.
I wasn't sure if the fizz might be a feature of the Plexitone circuit, or just the Plexi-m, or just my pedal.
My English Man does not have that same fizz, and I've now fixed the fizz on my Plexi-m (it was a bad op amp, see here).

Since the Plexi-m has some differences to Manfred's English Man schematic, I thought I'd trace my English Man.
Sometimes I like to double check what I have in MY pedal - these pedals can change over time, with new revisions, and I wouldn't be surprised if sometimes they might populate with whatever components are largely available and "near enough".
And of course, the factory can make mistakes.

I found some differences in my English Man compared to Manfred's older schematic.
Here's what's different on mine:
Additional C2
Additional D6
C4 = 470pF
Gain pot = A1M
C12 orientation
Order of the op amp sections used
Tone pot "direction"

So here's the schematic and some photos for MY English Man, bought in 2021.

R.I.P. Burke Shelley, from one of my favourite (and much underrated) bands - Budgie
Their songs have been covered by Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Soundgarden, Metallica and more.
