Hey! I have a Boss GE-7 that has a couple issues I'm trying to get straightened out. Firstly, the pedal only works with a power adapter, and does not work with a battery. Also, the LED doesn't light regardless of battery or power supply use. The LED has been swapped and that didn't correct the issue either. The pedal is one of the older ACA adapter pedals. Any help would be great!

you should update it for modern supplies first, because it was designed for 9vac and 12vdc,then report back for more troubleshooting

I swapped the 2 components to jumpers...same symptoms. Doesn't work with a battery, only works with a power adapter, and the LED never works. I never tried the unit with a 9v power adapter before, only a 12v one when it worked before conversion.

Doesn't work with a battery, only works with a power adapter,
I guess the DC-Jack is defektive, the switch in it do not close correctly any longer or a solder joint is broken.

A had look at PCB-shots.
The LED is monted on the slider pots PCB too.
Check the flat cable including its solder points.
