Using old TS9 housings/switches for builds?

All about modern commercial stompbox circuits from Electro Harmonix over MXR, Boss and Ibanez into the nineties.

Not sure where to post this, but I’ve got a number of old TS9 boxes from when I used to rehouse them and convert them to TB for people. Lately I’ve been wondering if I could use these to build some overdrives and house them in, but also use the original switches.

Would I need to build a buffer to use the original switches? Or is this something that isn’t really possible? Or would it be best to search out the 4DPT switches that Maxon uses in the OD9?

Thanks!

YAY! And no flyback protection whatsoever. Brilliant design practice (really not).
