I noted that in your scheme the 5.1k resistor on the j201/mpf102 is absent.

Hey guys first time poster, not sure if this is in the right place... I have a DODFX86 death metal pedal, dods answer to the HM2 and recently it's just been making this horrific whistling and squealing noise instead of letting the distortion work. You cant hear the signal as it comes on. It's just squealing. What I would like to know (total noob here) is if there are any components compatible to sorta rip the guts out and try turn it into a Fuzz pedal? I don't know where to look hahah
