That's the schemmo. Nothing new. That one was available so far.
Then why this topic?
Because while spending an afternoon datachrunching over an Ibanez Effects timeline it occured to me that the SH7 has been, at least catalogwise, never available in the US.... And that smells like a result of patent infringement.

Anyone with a clear explanation or proof of temporary stupidity at my side?

fuck a seven string guitar. one too many as far as i'm concerned. you want low? go baritone... or just tune down!

i need an extra string like i need a handle cut into my guitar.

not to say that the pedal doesn't have merit. anything that sounds good nice and low i'm interested in.

I played one once in a little whole in the wall music store in Arkansas. The guy was a nut over Ibanez gear, had all the toneloks except for the Lo-Fi one, anyone remember that one? actually a pretty cool pedal. Owner said he got them from NAMM. That might explain the relative scarcity of these. Anyway the seventh heaven sounded like ass to me, supposedly the owner told me it was designed with the guys from Orgy, around the time of vapor transmission, in mind. Hey, seven strings are badass and eight strings are even more badass. Monkey handles and ibanez guitars in general, except for their jazz boxes, are not badass.

Also about this series: someone mailed me a few days ago saying the Ibanez TC7 Tri-Mode Chorus was not on my site, so I added it and wondered why I missed it. It seems to be a "new" pedal in this series (2007 or 2008?), on the Ibanez site it's the only one photographed in a different angle than the others.

The same guy told me the CF7 was not available anymore in a lot of (German) stores and it's not on the German Ibanez site anymore (ibanez.com choose Germany), so maybe they removed that one from their catalog and replaced it by the TC7? But that would mean they'd have no flanger in that series anymore...

Weird huh? :)

I found out about the TC7 this morning ;)
The CF7 is gone in the 2007 catalog already. I suspect thay ran out of M50198P chips.

That would be one of the only possible "good" reasons to stop production :) Thanks!

I can't find when the TC7 was added, it was not on their site in the beginning of 2007 and I find a the TC7 a lot NEAR articles about Summer NAMM 2007 (but nothing saying it was shown there). They probably never made a press release about it, just trying to replace the CF7 by the TC7 silently...

I'm sure I've read about it, maybe late last year or early this year. Haven't seen it in stores though! Anyway, the CF7 was probably the weakest chorus and flanger they ever came out with so it's not that big a loss

I haven't compared the SH7's schem to the schem of the FZ7, but they look very similar.
