I cant find the schema I did with the vari-mid already in the bartolini circuit, but here is at least the circuit.

Hey this is my tryout to create nmtb preamp pcb,its not that big.the inductors that I can see on net found on mouser is 150mH are quite big 12mm diameter and 16mm lenght.I use few jumpers(they not marked but can be easy spotted), all wiring goes thru holes on pcb and connects in closest posible points according schematic.pcb is done on diptrace free software.

Is there anybody who successfully built ntmb preamp? I have, but not completely satisfied, the midrange control+range switch is very much interacting with bass control, it seems that midrange is not actually hump or dip at the given frequency corner selection, ether the Q is very low so it effect the bass range.on schematic at the very bottom it says OFF resistance of push pul MID pot is 47K (two R soldered to the pot), anybody knows what it means and what resistors have to be connected to pot.any suggestions?
the pic shows the second board I am building but without inductors and pots attached to it, identical to one I've built (was thinking to put on both of my basses)
p.s that picture was taken with laptop camera and it is reversed

Don't recall the schematic. But I can imagine the Q of the mid-section, which uses the inductors, being dependent on the resistance of the inductors, the lower the resistors the sharper the Q will be.
