Here is the first attack (from the chinese ?) on Behringer´s low-cost prices:

New-Distortion-Sound-Effect-pedal-for-Electric-Guitars

A distortion unit for about $ 20,-- with belt-clip AND 3m guitar-cable. :!:

I need to see some guts... hope the case is not glued together.... maybe the case, jacks pots and knobs are usable for something better? A replacement board maybe ?

Looks to me the case is ultrasonic welded together. You are gonig to have to break out the xacto knife to open that one.

5 elco's in the middle of the board are 1uF, the one bottom left 2.2uF, bottom right 47uF. One on the top between the pot I cannot tell.
Pots are 10kB (marked 103B), switch transistor reads (S9015) C331 (BC331?)
Diodes are 1n4148.
OPamp is nicely sanded off, probably because they are factory seconds the manufacturer doesn't want to be associated with?

Thanks but some things confuse me:

The value of the ceramic cap marked C12 (in reality C2) with 10n (103 or .01) seems to be a little bit high.... maybe it is only 1nF (102 or .001) ?

68n for C9 seems to be also not correct... maybe it is ,68 which would mean 680nF ?

R7 with 8k6.....maybe this should read 6k8 ?

and finally R13 with 21k.... maybe 12k would make more sense ?

please confirm,
analogguru

It is C2, but it really is marked 103, so I concluded it's 10 000 pF = 10 nF
68n for C9 seems to be also not correct... maybe it is ,68 which would mean 680nF ?
C9 the tantalum cap is marked "683"
R7 with 8k6.....maybe this should read 6k8 ?
blue grey red gold = 6k8 of course, sorry
and finally R13 with 21k.... maybe 12k would make more sense ?
It's red brown orange gold. 21k still.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look, AG!

Well, if you could tame the treble a bit, it might just sound like a CJOD!
 I'll try to make some clips after the weekend.

'cept 21k is not a standard 5% value. 20k, 24k, 27k are your choices. So what you are seeing as brown might be orange or purple.

That´s right....

If there is a gold ring than it can´t be 21k...

Here is the background (in german):
http://www.elektronik-kompendium.de/sit ... 109071.htm
Have a look in the table at the row E24.
My personal tip is 27k...

The transistor also can´t be marked S9015 this would be a PNP-type.

I assume it is a S9016 ?

(schematic is nearly finished  )

Of course, 27k I saw it under better light, it's violet! Thank for the link AG, that's very easy German, luckily.

Transistor is indeed NPN, but 9014!

I should update the pic sometime...
thanks guys
