I have two of these. I have already done some mods to one.

These are two beat up little boosts pedals that I have owned since the 9th grade.

I have heard you can make them like a klon type boost, I have heard you can make them klon boost killers. I have heard you can make them really hi-fi and and clean and crisp. I have heard that the creation audio labs mk4.23 is just a modified microamp.

I am bored and want to try everything. As is they are noisy and kind of bland sounding. Decent, but bland.

Here is the schematic

If you own two originals, maybe you could be so kind and control if the "Gain"-poti is really 500k reverse logarithmic ?

What I would change as the first step would be:

Socket the IC and replace the TL 061 by a TL071 for less noise.
Replace the 22M (R1) with a 2M2.
Replace the 10M (R2) with a 1M.
Now you can use other op-amp (non-Fet, e.g. 741, 5534) too....

There´s a sucker born every minute - and too many of them end up in the bootweak pedal biz.
