The Reel echo uses some kind of computer like chips to create its delay. And when you adjust the delay time on the reel echo, you get a stutter effect rather than pitch bending, so modulation of this sort isn't possible on a reel echo.

would it be possible to add a LPF so i could control the tone of the repeats? i feel like it would be a doable mod, but i just wouldnt know what to do.

Thanks for putting this layout together. I tried to add it to a DIY neptune delay board, but the LFO is not working - the LED lights up but is not oscillating. I heard decreasing the value of R2 and increasing the value of C2 may help? What do changing these two components do? Any other tips? I tried both a Silonex NSL-32 as well as a KE-10720 LDR tied to a red LED and still doesn't work. Lights up, but doesn't oscillate.
