I dont know if its correct to post this here so: mods please move the thread to anywhere else where its ok.

i want to mod my Ibanez because it sounds like woh-woh. i want it to sound more like Wah-wah

anybody got the schematics? or better: anybody knows which component to change to get the effect that i want?

there are to trim pots and one normal pot to adjust the range and i tried to make it sound better through adjusting them but it doesnt yet sound like i want it.

can anybody help me?

Kaos don't know of any schematic around.
I bet if you post some good gut shots someone will come up with one though :wink:

If it has cheap mylar caps in it , change them to higher quality film types - you will hear a difference.

had one of those a while ago.
Nice to play around with, but never "wah'd" and the effect seemed to get lost once I got up to the higher frets.
Took up too much space on my board, so I sold it since I just scored a broken Thomas Organ :applause: .

Good luck to you on your quest though!

Chet - and 3 years more after that, I've found your write-up not only quite professional and thorough, but also very helpful. I just got one of these Ibanez WD7 Weeping Demons on the cheap and want to be able clean up its act, as it has been quite abused. Thank you so very much for your determination to create and present the article you have.
