Thought this was worth a mention as they don't come up that often....

The seller provided me with some decent gutshots on request...

Looks to me that the temperature stabilising diode has been replaced with a modern rectifier type. Likely Schottky. Don't think they were around in 1967. I have been known to be wrong, though. Other than that slight niggle, looks fippin' excellent.

Seller says he checked with the service guy just replaced a jack and the ground tag.

Cool find, but somebody has messed with it a bit. GE diode was replaced, and there's added 33K resistor.
Anyway, should be quite easy to fix it without harm. :thumbsup
This will go for a lot of cash :)

Oh yeah - extra 33k from the base of Q3 to what looks like one end of the Timbre pot. What's that doing?

The last one to come up on eBay sold for £2500. Sadly it was back in Nov 2013, so no pics.

Here's one that has been used by Robert Fripp and endorsed by Robert
viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1211&p=247167#p247167

Robert & I purchased our Burn Buzzarrounds at the same time from a Mr Don Strikes Guitar Shop.

Check out the pictures I'll take others pics from any angle you like, the only mod is to enable the Burns and the
many other Pedals I still have to run off the Twin DCV pedal loop that ran through my studio Arnys Shack
www.arnys-shack.com

I'm offering this genuine Burns Buzzaround pedal for all offers around $2650 USD if one wishes to pay by PayPal
that's fine but there will be a 3.4% charge to cover PayPal commission

I worked with Robert for over 15 years, write to me at tony@arnys-shack.com to receive a list of all the other
Classic pedals I have for sale, reason for selling I retired as a Producer/Engineer back in January.

Kind Regards

Tony

It's worth <$50. I'll be generous - I'll give you $60 (or $80 posted to the UK).

You can buy a great, brand new reproduction of one for <$100, and it won't have the leaking capacitors and corroded connections that this "original" will have.
"Why is it humming?" "Because it doesn't know the words!"
