Kill Switch wrote:Props to the folks who spearheaded this project. Just built this and it worked on the first try. Very nice sounding phaser. Stayed true to the parts list, 4009, 4558 1.5 tant. Used 1% resistors throughout. I'm late to the party I know but then all the info already generated made it an easier build. The feedback pot has a subtle effect on the sound but it's noticeable. Sounds sublime in front of my echo base delay. I'm thinking of getting the LPB-1 worked out now and routing it in front of the phase as someone suggested a hotter signal improves it a bit. Sounds great as is though. Great project! :applause:

Cheers :thumbsup

That's an interesting idea about the LPB-1... it does sound great with some grit in front of it! Suprisingly large amount of headroom for a CMOS based phaser.

It seems that a C/Rev Log taper should be used for rate incase anyone wonders, I used a linear and it is a tad bunched up, there was no information on this available at the time though (hence why the parts list doesn't state a taper to use) but B Tremblay did some experimenting for us and came to that conclusion.

I finally got around to finishing mine and it works great. I put the LPB-1 on a footswitch as an independent boost and it rocks. Instead of making the Manual pot switchable, I put some finger nail polish on the pot's wafer so that the pot would be "off" at it's lowest setting. Then I made the cut trace switchable so that the Manual pot could be used as a depth control as described by B Tremblay. It works great as does the manual control.

Thanks to all who put this together. This is a great sounding pedal!

That sounds sweet as! I think if I were to do this again, i'd definitley make that Depth Mod be an Onboard Pot and now you've mentioned it, have it switchable between Depth & Manual.

What's peoples views on the feedback control too? Would you keep it a pot or make it a switch? This isn't gunna happen, just interested in opinion.

The feedback control is either on or off, so it's better off on a switch. I squeezed mine into a 125b, so I won't be changing anything on this build. If I built it again, I would put it on a switch or find a better way to adjust the feedback.

Out of stock once you actually try to go through with it.

I'd be in for one as well, if there was ever a reorder.

Madbean might do some boards if you head over to his forum http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/inde ... pic=7075.0

I haven't seen Abfackeln around in quite some time.

Zombie post I know, but I just found my PCB for this stashed away. Anyone have the BOM saved and/or any other files? The site is dead and I can't seem to get the Wayback Machine to pull what I need.

Been a while since I dealt with this board but I think this is the right BOM, don't forget the LPB-1 needs a fix to work.

And while the posts are now over 5 years old, if anyone is still looking for a board http://lectric-fx.com/product/bloodston ... ter-v-1-1/

Also, I suspect the 1.5uF (C13) tantalum is just a 1uF tantalum.
