Hey all!

I'm servicing an old Echorec 2 and the owner also wants a footswitch to turn the effect on and off. Now this unit, which was made in Italy, has Geloso in and outputs (already changed them to jacks) but also has Geloso jacks that are a bit smaller then the normal 6.3mm jacks; they are 5mm (Geloso N9008 if I am correctly). Now I have a really hard time getting to find them. Anyone know a place for this old old parts?

No, not at all, but it is the only size I can find on the internet on a dedicated Echorec page....... I think I need to try these first!!

Try searching for 'GPO jacks' or 'Type B jacks' these were used in old telephone patch bays and were popular in audio around the same time. Slightly smaller that 1/4" jacks so they could be what your looking for. The Echorec was around that era so, who knows?

Smaller again was the bantam jack, I don't have any specs handy so you will have to look them up :)
It's fairly straight forward, if you want to start it , press start. You can work out the rest of the controls for yourself !

No silicon heaven ? preposterous ! Where would all the calculators go ?

Thanks! I've searched for the GPO and type B's and Neutrik, who makes / sells em, claims they are the same size as their normal jacks; 6.3mm. I've found some MIL spec'd jacks that tend to be 5.4mm, closer...... yet I'll start with the Bantam plugs as 4.4mm would fit nicely! Luckily I found a supplier quite close that stocks em.

Switchcraft has a line of 0.206" jacks and plugs:

From their website:

"For applications requiring polarization (use of plugs of different sizes) to prevent insertion of incorrect equipment Littel-Plug® phone plugs featuring a sleeve and tip diameter of .206 inches are available. Mate with Number S128 Extension Jax® and S11 Littel Jax® jacks. Number S260 used interchangeable with Military Type M642/51 (Switchcraft® Number 480) plugs. Mate with jacks S12B, S13B, M444, MT342B, MT344B and others."

I bet these would fit.
