i try to buy as much as i can from surplus suppliers. this way, i can get the highest quality parts at the cheapest price, but it's not always the most consistent supply.

Since 1 year or so prices on active stuff (transistors, ics etc) have dropped to the levels of Futurlec. Now I only have to order pots from Futurlec (at 0.40 dollar cents a piece they cannot be beaten). JFETs were always expensive at futurlec.kierc wrote:I usually use Banzaieffects.com
As a one stop source for building it's great and much cheaper than e.g. Small Bear in the US, but all that's a very recent development I think.
