Electro Harmonix - Y-Triggered Filter

Postby Scruffie » 14 Oct 2010, 19:22

Here's a Re-Draw of the incredibly difficult to read EHX Y-Triggered Filter Schematic, The Original of which can be found here - http://sites.google.com/site/electrocon ... actory.gif

It's a simple envelope filter using EHX's favourite OTA the CA3094, hopefully i'll get round to converting this to use a more available OTA at some point in the near future though.

Diodes are all 1N4148/1N914 the NPN transistor is a BC239 in Marks Unit and the PNPs are the complimentary of that.

As you wish... Courtesy of Mark Hammer :thumbsup

(He changed one 4558 to the TL072 and One or two of the caps aren't original, but still the original values)

A "dealer" should never be addicted. Enjoy the "drugs".

So... Mark just confirmed to me that there is no 4th Transistor in his unit and it doesn't appear to be on Analoggurus unit either... is that Factory Schematic lying a little bit I wonder?

I don't see a 10uF Tant either so do you think that last transistor (Q1) was dropped on production models? I don't really know its purpose and what is R21 about 'Out of Ckt'?

Sorry for necro-posting, but i recently bought a faulty YTF and i'm looking to repair it. Not being very experienced with electronics, I'll check som ethigns with you as I work. Is the slide switch supposed to connect to the negative of the audio input or the negative of the power input? And how important is the .1 uF cap at the same position?
