I know that there is one post about this in stuff seen for sale(and it is 2 years old), but it would be nice to get this pedal done properly...just like the DIPTHONIZER......what do you think? :thumbsup

all we need is trace side of PCB....and schematic of thic baby :)

if someone know this man...DRAGONFLY,and if he have this pedal......it would not be problem to make a clone :thumbsup

Don't bother - it's a simple Flanger with a TDA1022 for the delay line. The ADT mode is just a chorus (but it sounds quite nice). The effect is VERY noisy, and there are MUCH better Flanger circuits about.

:horsey:
"Why is it humming?" "Because it doesn't know the words!"

Here is a link to the Colorsound Flanger schematic. It's two pages. Click to the right for the second page.

https://smg.photobucket.com/user/leonhe ... 1.jpg.html

I've gathered a small collection of component side board images and I'll try to verify and redraw the schematic.

There were modifications (value changes, resistors deleted, and trimmers added.) from the original version which is reflected on the drawing.

If anyone has one of these flangers, a trace side shot would be extremely helpful and appreciated.

Here are the redrawn schematics:

I verified as many components as possible from images available on the net.

If you were wondering what to do with that SAD512D.....Project to follow.

After I posted the redrawn schematics, I started working on identifying components from original board images to make a layout.

While focusing my attention around the rotary switch, I noticed that the original drawing depicts the switching sequence as:
Manual, Auto, ADT.

That is incorrect. The original flanger rotary switch is Auto, ADT, Manual. The board image switching reflects that as well.

I redrew and reposted the image above.

Here are the corrected PDFs. Maybe the moderator can delete the old PDFs.

Here is a preview of my progress with the board.
Lacking trace side images, I used component side shots for reference for the component placement.

There were two versions of the Colorsound Flanger. The schematics previously posted and this board layout reflect the second version which seems to have made an attempt at reducing noise.

The original Flanger has a Manual sweep mode and a CV IN jack. It seems to have been set up more for keyboard control voltage. I bread boarded the LFO to take note of the voltage swing which is 3.8 - 8.6 volts. I plan to add an "on board" CV circuit so that an expression pedal with a 100K pot can be used to control the sweep when in manual mode.
There is an empty space on lower right area of the board which has +12V and ground available. This seems like the best place to add the CV circuit.
