the cathode follower is another suspicious point. I don't think that should have a shared cathode resistor in there. Usually you have a low resistor at one cathode, with the bypass cap, and the 100k resistor at the follower.

connect the .01uf capacitor - one side to ground as drawn and the other side to the control grid of the tube (not the junction of the 1M and 47k)

Bajaman is correct. In the schematic the .01 cap should go from ground to the other end of the 1M resistor. The gut shots posted by Venessa appear to verify this.

Yep. The gut shots seem to agree with you, swt. The cathode follower looks wrong in the schematic compared to the gut shots. The gut shots look like a classic cathode follower.

jaydawg wrote:The Maz is kind of cool, but if you look at the stingray you'll see that its a note for note copy of the ac30/4 with the carman ghia tone control added.
So it's a Vox AC30 with a Matchless Chieftain mid tone control...

Can any one trace a schematic for it now?

In the newest version the mini Z has an attenuator does anyone have an idea of what it be like?

Awesome jaydawg, I've been wanting to build the Route 66 for awhile. Do you know what is the equivalent Hammond PT and OT that would work for this? I was thinking the 274BX for power and one of the 1650 series but am unsure which one. Thanks.
