Hello. I was wondering if anyone knew any possible Peavey Mace mods. I picked one of these up REALLY cheap and its got a pretty solid sound. Only problems I have with it is that the mids get really boxy sounding and fairly unappealing when turned up past 3. Also the pre amp overdrive is pretty fuzzy when turned up too high. Also the bass gets really muddy. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here is a picture of the schematic, specifically the EQ section for the effects chan (the one i primarily use). https://img214.imageshack.us/img214/3609/maceeqpg7.jpg

I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell which capacitors are for their corresponding EQ pot. Would changing the actual pots to a different value help me with my weird midrange frequency problem? Also if anyone would have an idea as to how I could possibly install a mid-sweep control into this part of the circuit that might help me with my problem.
