Anybody got Komet amplifiers?
I have the Komet 60 layout, planning to build it someday..
Anyone have any other schematics\layouts for the Concorde or Constellation?

Sorry - I do not have any further information :(
The pdf layout is excellent though - it should be a nice sounding amplifier - use good transformers and filter choke - you cannot go wrong

I began drawing up a schematic for the preamp based on that layout.

Thanks! Glad I could contribute something. After that preamp is the power supply and power tubes which started jumbling in my brain at 11:30pm when I was tracing the layout. I had to stop before I went crazy haha.

I will attempt the rest when I get a chance, it starts getting very hard to follow though, but I can try it.

For building that kind of stuff I strongly recommend signing up to ampgarage.com and getting in friendly contact with allynmey! He can get you nearly all you want.
The guys at ampgarage.com are very friendly and helpful. Several there have built Komet clones....
Greetings,
Timo

Look under "post 70's amps" all the way on the left directly above Laney. Its only the preamp tho. http://www.schematicheaven.com/post70s.htm

I'm building this right now with Heyboer iron & a welded, 1/8" Aluminum chassis.
The sockets alone were almost $60 USD. The Clarostat RV4 pots I don't already own will be another $60 almost.
My Greenlee punches are whimpering as they strain to cleanly make all my divots.
Many of these Komet 60 components were discontinued the year the Komets were released. Luckily I had the old ceramic glazed Ohmite screen resistors and Mallory 8uf @250VDC bias caps. I'm lacking one solitary 330K 1 watt carbon film resistor & no one seems to have any in stock. :x
I just hope it doesn't mimic my Express amp in too many areas or it'll be a real bitch to chose the one I keep. :hmmm:
This puppy will be bulletproof and gorgeous to behold on the inside when I'm all done.
I had the faceplates made to look exactly like the Komet's except for their company logo of course.

I'll send you the schematic or the missing details if you PM me your needs. Provided you continue passing it to whomever requests it. I'm too busy to hold the gift bearing pose.

I hope that's not too snotty for some.

Others will nod in agreement I trust.
