Wire the out to a 1/8" headphone jack with a 100ohm pot in series set up as a voltage divider?? I think! :D

The whole project and all files for the Noisy Cricket are online:
http://beavisaudio.com/Projects/NoisyCricket/DIY/

Thanks to Beavis - he's here somewhere, I know.
Credit due, however much Ruby indebted.

Moving this to the DIY folder, as it's a project fully hosted elsewhere.

Very much credit due to the ROG folks. On the main noisy cricket I give them lots of props and a link.

Also, I am now the first and only DIY site to feature full frontal nudity on my home page. :D

Hi, I am a newbie trying to build this and I have a question about the grit switch.
On the schematic, the switch is connected to 100nf(C4) and the other side to 100nf(C3)and the 7th leg of the IC. However on the layout, the switch is connected to 100nf and the other side to 220`μf, 10Ω, and the 5th leg of the IC.
Which is correct?

Hmmm this layout appears wrong to me too.

The Vero and RatShack layouts look okay.

Should be like this. (sorry for the quick and dirty pic)

If you already have the board made it's no big deal to fix you can put a jumper in where C4 was then cut the trace on the right and put it there.
