From their facebook page

"Premier Guitar
We're just a couple of hours away from uploading our March issue to the printer. Absolutely KILLER variety of stuff, including a fantastic DIY cover story. Any guesses at what it is--and what sorts of DIY stories would you like to see us do in the future?

DIY goes mainstream? Never really read Premier Guitar (was looking for NAMM coverage) so I don't know what to expect :hmmm:

If it's the same magazine I'm thinking of they always have a DIY article every issue and most of them are pretty cool. I think Wampler wrote some really cool articles breaking down a few Boss pedals and a few others. I don't subscribe but I know I pdf'd a few of those articles.

Yeah, they usually have a mod section I believe. Cool stuff. :)

They did an issue a few months ago that covered some fairly easy mods. Brian W has indeed written some articles for that. Judging from the previous issues with that sort of stuff, it'll probably be pretty "basic" stuff...

Most of them are pretty basic, but I know of at least one where Wampler covers a pretty decent overhaul of a Russian Big Muff. I cant get you the link because its blocked on my network, but a google search for "Premier Guitar Russian Big Muff Mod" gave me this address: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCEQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.premierguitar.com%2FMagazine%2FIssue%2F2009%2FMay%2FElectro_Harmonix_Russian_Big_Muff_Pi_Pedal_Mods.aspx&ei=Wt8mT--PFPPXiAKFhMSACA&usg=AFQjCNFmGArSq83J9odQXwe52sbUNyI4Pw, I just haven't been able to verify that its the one that I am thinking of.

I remember that one, everything else is stuff like "changing an LED" and "true bypass mod," etc.

Hey I think Premier Guitar is the BEST mag. Period. Mostly gear articles, when they interview an artist they talk about gear not limos, and the technique pieces aren't just flash bulsht. Best thing is ALL the magazine plus some extra's each month, is available online for FREE!!! :horsey:
