"crazy" patent

Anything non-technical you want to talk about, talk it over and have beer ...

"crazy" patent

Postby analogguru » 15 Jul 2007, 18:30

Here you can read it:
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/5765134.html

The user of the invention wears a microphone and earphones. The invention digitally alters how the user hears his or her voice, to sound as if the user is in a different emotional state. The user may choose preprogrammed emotional states such as confident authority or happy enthusiasm. The degree of the emotion may also be selected. The result is that the user's emotional state is altered when he or she speaks.

Did somebody look if Zvex is wearing earphones ?

Hmmm.... I got a cheap Zoom 9002 I think that I should try this. if it works, why feed the earphones - better feed the PA....

But here is another patent, which cites an intersting aspect:
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/5029214.html

"Group Behavior of Robots", M. Kochen, Computers and Automation, vol. 6 #3, 1957, pp. 16-21, 48.

I didn´t know that Robots do have something like a group behavior.... or is he talking about zombies (or boutique pedal buyers) ?

This patent leads me to a new idea:
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4632126.html

Essentially, it varies the signal to noise ratio (S/N) of an audio or video signal as a function of any physiological parameter or combination of several parameters.

hmmm... why vary the S/N ratio as a function of "any physiological parameter" ?

In times of speech (content) recognition my new invention varies the S/N ratio as a function of the spoken (or written) content ....
But from where do I get enough "noise" for all this spoken (or written) sh*t ?

And have a look at this:
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4377158.html

The apparatus determines the number of hesitation pauses of joint silence .... The apparatus gives an indication, either visible or audible, when the number of such pauses exceeds a presettable limit per unit of time.

My new invention:
The apparatus determines the number of (technical) bullsh*t which has been expelled by a boutique pedal builder.... The apparatus gives an indication, either visible or audible, when the number of such bullsh*t exceeds a presettable limit per unit of time.

Hey, the signal light never will turn off...

Considering the money involved in patenting somethin one should expect the fella to be either rich, nuts or onto something...
