Battery in or out?

I've been wondering this, for a very long time, is it better to leave the battery in, or out, when solely using adapters to power it?

I'm aware of the "in case the plug falls out" phrase, but these pedals are nailed to a board (so to speak), so there's a slim chance that would happen.
And if it did, the battery is probably dead anyway, from always having a cord in the input.
What if the battery is oozing acid in there...I'll have to get the claw hammer out

Leave the batterie out.
If the battery is aged, electrolytic fluid in it may leak, which would damage this device.
For modern alkaline batteries it happens only rarely, but it happnes.

No the moment you plug in a external supply it disconnects the battery,, if it did not the battery would explode. Wise to remove batteries if not used. :secret:
