When it comes to doom tones, I wouldn't immediately think of a fuzz face, but this sounds pretty cool.

Just (tonight) bought an Ampeg V4B from the '76-'79 era, and i've got a box of GT313As and a peak analyzer coming in the mail any day now... anyone have build suggestions? I'm already planning on building up RnFR's Toecutter, but am looking forward to putting as much dirt as possible in front of this thing until i find something that's just right.

Nice amp! I heard the SubDecay F-Bomb fuzz through a V4 recently and it was SO GOOD! My personal favorite commercially available fuzz right now is the Black Arts Pharaoh. I realize that neither of those will help you with your sweet Russian germs, but hey.

So my band, Ancient Warlocks recently did a nifty little live video shoot. We did four songs so here's one:

And we're heading out Sunday for a short west coast tour with Mars Red Sky from France. Have a listen:

Thanks! We uploaded, in preview, not the whole album. One of the uploaded in soundlcoud, called "Assembled Alive! is probably going to be the opening track. BTW great psych sounds from your soundcloud clips.

Thanks! I don't play guitar in any bands right now, so demoing projects is a lot of fun. Are you going to do digital sales or anything via bandcamp or whatever?

Yeah! We are going to do digital sales via bandcamp as soon as possibile. We are looking for a rec label or to produce it by our own, and time is passing so fast. However, thanks!

I'm on the 70's Hawkwind and Monster Magnet side of this stuff along with Loop, Telescopes and Spacemen3. Seems like there are a lot of cool bands in this vein in Europe, such as Sungrazer, Electric Moon and Rotor. Severina Satelite from Peru really cop that old space ritual freak out, as does the awesome, face melting White Hills from NY. You can find loads of clips of these bands on Y tube, and this German distributor has tons more on their books.

Have any of you other guys been rocking the new Ty Segall related project? Fuzz? I was really surprised by this album, usually not my thing. Very 70s style doom. Maximum Riffage.

Talking about the jammer, i would like to recommend the Prison Signal Jammer, this was the good device to use,you can have a look at

I actually just saw Sleep in Chicago a few weeks back. If you ever have the opportunity but you're not sure if it's worth the cash/if they still have it/if you want to see them with the drummer from Neurosis, allow me to provide some guidance: fucking see them. They were better than I could have ever hoped. It was completely surreal.

I have to say that while I'd been a fan of Electric Wizard, Sleep, Earthride, and Cathedral, my love of fuzz pedals really took off after seeing Pallbearer last year. Not sure why, but after that, I went headlong down the fuzz pedal rabbit hole.
