A bit better.
BOM is still missing at opening an old file.
Using the BOM button creates two with the same name in some files (renaming one of them and deleting it is a workaround)
In some files the issue is the same as before, but it depends on the file.
The option from the menue does nothing.

don't worry about it. I was amazed when I realized that my 4 letter name is such a pain in the ass for western world to pronounce. There's only a handful of people I know that can pronounce it correctly.

:D

Yeah, I still have the problem with that. I was trying to close the program, as well as reset my PC and still cant change the size of it

In menu the value I'm choosing is saved (ie 5mm or 6,3mm) but physical size stays the same

can you send me the most recent log file?

btw, I added a very cool feature. You can save component templates, so you can quickly instantiate variations of components you commonly use, like small CC resistor, big metal oxide resistor, or something like that. I think it will be very useful and won't slow down users that don't care about templates, it's just a small arrow in the toolbox.

Gotcha!

I also cant seem to save preferences for resistor sizes. Basically the template thing isnt doing anything for me. I can put a template in the template folder and it shows up there, but just like a save design. It doesnt remember resistor or cap sizes in the drop downs like I hoped.

damn :( And neither of you guys aren't using two instances of DIYLC running at the same time and playing with config/templates in both of them?

can you try a simple scenario: start the app, add a single component, save it as template and close the app. try to reopen and see if it shows the template.

No bro, one window at ones.

I've tried that.

I can give you an access to my computer to check for yourself (I do trust you) I think windows have a function for it

Maybe this is where i'm lost. I dont have any options to save anything as a template. It seems like all I can do is save as a DIY file and then place it into the templates folder (which seems to be how its intended to be done). If I do that it shows up as a template when I start DIYLC, but if I select it all it does is show the layout file like normal. It doesnt add anything to the drop downs (under resistors, for example).

What i'd like to do is basically add different custom parts to the drop downs. Like 1/4W resistors for pedals and 1/2W resistors for amps.

You have to change the component settings, and then from right mouse click menu "save as a template" or something.

All in v3.15
