is roku on windows or mac?
if it's windows, you could just RDP to the client (there are *cough* patches *cough* available which will let you RDP to a windows box in a separate session, the same way that you can on windows server, and leave the main console unaffected) from your android...

Bancika, is it possible to have more control over tube schematic symbols?

Like rotate 90/180/270 degrees, and horizontal flip? Must have for triode

I also just downloaded new version. Funny things happen with ground symbols when copy and paste. All ground symbols are grouped into one point. Try to copy schematic, select it all, copy, and paste below, you'll see what I mean :)

Cheers and huge thanks, great job!

The most recent version (3.28.0) doesnt work with 10.9.2, i know that for sure. If you try to open it you get: "DIYLC is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash."

As a workaround ive been using the multi-platform version here: https://code.google.com/p/diy-layout-cr ... p&can=2&q=

Which mac are you on? If it's a newer model, 10.9 is free of charge from app store, and app store should be included in the latest update of your system version. I'd recommend that over running an old version of DIYLC ;)

Fair enough. Can't you upgrade to the latest version of Java anyway? That way you should be able to run the universal build.

Hi everybody,

hope, this is the right place for my post.
I just started to work with diylc version 3.22.0 The tool is awesome!
I run it on a Mac with osx 10.8.5
But there is following issue. When creating templates, they are not saved when I do so.
I choose an item, edit it, go to Save as Template but then there is nothing in the template menu in
the corresponding item.

What could be the matter?

Best regards
Philipp

Just found out: When creating a template with the setting i posted before, if you hold the
right mouse tab and scroll down while holding the mousetab, it creates the desired template.
Thought i'd be fine. safed the project, reopened it times and times after to be safe.
But then i got a phonecall, closed the programm.
Now all the templates are gone :-((( Whole afternoon of work wasted.
What the hell is the thing?

DIYLC V3 doesnt work in my OSX 10.7.5 (Lion),
I have the latest Java version installed,
when I click the DIYLC icon nothing happens!

I can open the DIYLC V3 (any version 3) multiplataform DIYLC.JAR file,
although I receive message saying it's not recommended to use the JAR file, thats really the only way to open this software

Old guy here who needs a bit of help.

I installed DIYLC onto my Ubuntu Linux 14.04 (LTS) PC. When I try and draw a (perf) board the components are huge, e.g. resistors are plain blue with no bands, they look like 1/4 or 1/2 watt.

I am assuming that to get the nice little 1/8th watt resistors with bands (and other suitable components) I need a library. Can anyone suggest where I could get a suitable one and how do I install it?

Thanks in advance.

you need to set resistor values for bands to show up (double click and input value in the box).

Btw, I just released version 3.29.0 with a few new features and fixes. You can find it on github https://github.com/bancika/diy-layout-creator/releases

Thanks Bancika, I discovered that after posting.

I will load the new version but doubt I will get much done with it over the summer, winter is when I hibernate in my workshop.

I have published the first beta version to https://github.com/bancika/diy-layout-c ... _3_32_Beta

The main new feature is "Project Cloud" that allows project sharing between users. You can upload your projects, search for and download other people's projects and post public comments on any project.

Feel free to give it a go. The new feature can be accessed from the main menu. You'll need to create an account (takes only few seconds) to publish projects and post comments.

Please note that at the end of the testing period, the cloud storage will be cleared to remove rubbish test data and we will start from scratch.

Stuff that's not yet ready:

"Manage My Projects" feature doesn't do anything. I plan to make it possible to update and delete projects.
Categories need some refinement (please suggest new categories)
Keywords will be auto-generated when the project is selected to contain key project information, this doesn't work at the moment

Thank you for testing and please make sure to report any feedback to bancika@gmail.com
