The origional is a MS Works file. We use this for parts substitutions and such.
I used a JAVA Web applet to convert to Excel. Its not perfect, but I think anybody here could fix it.
The idea with the sheet is say you need a transistor..you can search the part, and find specs...then use the search function to match it to hfe, volts, current, and such. Like a crossover sheet, but one thats "active".
I have included the origional works file as well as excel.
perhaps we can keep this updated as well. We still use this at work and update it there too.

Cool idea.
You should put all of the headings on one line, and then do Data -> Filter -> Autofilter.
That allows you to search and sort very easily, setting up multiple criteria and viewing the results in a non-destructive fashion.

Thats the thing..
In Works thats kinda how its laid out. So you can search super easy. But all that got messed up in the java applet converter.
I think I can save the origional in something excel can easily open up, but not till Friday.
Unless someone else still has works for windows..
