I'm kicking around the idea of building a single box that contains three different stomp box boards (fuzz face clone, Brian May-style treble booster and the Really Cheap Compressor). I've done each of these separately and put them into their own boxes with their own level controls on the outputs. If I put them in series (output of fuzz face into the input of the treble booster, for example), should I put in a level control after the fuzz face or run it at full volume? My idea was to set up a series of by-pass switches so that each effect could be added individually or in any combination. If anyone has already done something similar, I'd love to hear about experiences, things to watch out for, etc.
