Transformer for Pedal Board Question

I'm thinking of putting a Transformer at the end of my signal chain on my pedal board to give me some Shock protection.

What should I use. I was thinking a 1 to 1 would be good.

Also what kind of Tonal Qualities might I expect from different Transformer specs?

what do you guys think?
