A SIMPLE OCTAVER DOWN

Hi,
this is my little contribution.
A simple octaver (oune octave down) based on M51134 IC, a chip found in old DOD MEATBOX and Behringer bass amps.
The octave works well with bass guitar. There is a sort of divider noise but with very low volume . This noise disappear with a buffer in front.
Enjoy.

The Meatbox sounds really bad but this octaver is NOT THE MEATBOX AT ALL !! I will post a quick sample tomorrow....

here is a little sample. The first lick is bass only. The octave level pot is about 1/3.
Two corrections :
- R9 set the input gain . Try with values from 82K or change it with a 200k pot (higher values causes distortion)
- C6 set the low frequency cutoff. Try 1uf. Higher values causes rumble noise

it sounds great !
the plan is very clear, much more minimalist than the OC 2
i'm really interested in building one...
quite busy those days, but I will plan this for september.
maybe it could be the occasion of a transcription on CAD
did you mount it on stripboards ?

Yes it sounds very nice indeed!
I just ordered some of those IC's to experiment with.

Hello there, i'm new to this forum.
Could you, please, send me the PCB layout?
THank you!

Errors like that tend to make my day. "Franger" from the Ibanez UE400 PCB silkscreen, "Batter snap" from Shin-Ei, etc

One PCB I saw a while ago described a 4013 as a "jewel frip-frop".....

I can see a whole new thread here: Professional Orthographic Barbarism

There was an effects related page that showed a schematic excerpt with a frip-frop years ago. No clue which one.
the jewel is pretty brilliant!

Resurrecting an old thread. I am transferring the hand drawn schematic to Eagle, but I can't locate R18 and R19 on the schematic. ( both 47k )
Also on the BOM the two 100R's in the power section are omitted.
