Time Lord Programmable Delay
I just posted this on "the other" forum so I might as well put it on here as well. It's a fully featured programmable PT2399 delay pedal with 24 presets, long delays, modulation section, tap tempo, rhythmic subdivisions, tails, effects loop and more. I'm not sure if anyone will be mad enough to actually build it (it's built on two large vero boards and has 260 components) but here goes:
Design overview: https://db.tt/yL0ehFI9
Audio board schematic: https://db.tt/lZEdN63U
Control board schematic: https://db.tt/h0MldmBv
Audio board vero layout: https://db.tt/tBa1J0nx
Control board vero layout: https://db.tt/ApkrILHL
Picaxe code: https://db.tt/P9EOZVuo
Bill of materials: https://db.tt/vW3zwTZ3
Instruction manual: https://db.tt/ddOfVkvH
Video: https://db.tt/wZCidIQ3
The video just shows edit mode and runs over the range of the controls. Also the frame rate is too slow to properly capture the tempo led (it does work in reality). I will try and post a better one showing performance useage in the next week or two.

Thank you, the main selling point is the abilty to change patches on the fly, I'll get a video up as soon as I get some time.
Also if there is enough interest I might do a pcb design, maybe get some pcb's made- I know vero isn't everyones cup of tea!

Apologies for the upside down video and the heavy breathing!

don't be afraid to check out some other delay options besides the PT2399. once you go digi, go all the way... (FV-1 i.e.). I'm sure someone who veros a beast like this would do wonders with a PIC. just a suggestion, thanks for sharing your work, cheers
...and weird on top!
Good suggestion I really like the look of the FV1. Noise and distortion and versatility-wise it's in a different league to the Pt2399. If only they did a through hole version though....garcho wrote:don't be afraid to check out some other delay options besides the PT2399. once you go digi, go all the way... (FV-1 i.e.). that hellspwaned thorn of misery y'all call vero
Thanks for that . There was someone from the other forum who made a start on a PCB for this. I haven't heard from him for while but we will post it here if it comes off.
