Hammond scanner guitar effect project released..

Postby jpdesroc » 20 Apr 2016, 16:33

Hi List,

Introducing my new electronic project,
It's a Hammond scanner Chorus/Vibrato guitar effect
using its original vibrato line and a bunch of electronics
to support it. All this put inside a small cabinet
stolen from a scrap 15w guitar amp.

You can hear it on this youtube link:
https://youtu.be/UMf6ya3Ayyo

You can also have a look at a group of detailed pictures
showing most of the steps involved in the building process here:
http://www.arcenson.com/projects/Hammon ... /Pictures/

It's a one year project I'm proud of.
Cheers !

Greetings,

Fantastic project JP! I'd thought about doing that 25 years or so ago, but never got to it. My "paper version" was nowhere as sophisticated as yours. I'm very impressed with your workmanship, coding, etc. Really great job. FYI, seems there is also now a commercial product made from old Hammond scanners/lines:

Greetings,

Wow, sorry for the long delayed reply! Yes, it is commercially available; currently about $1900.00 US. Here is the mfgs page on it:
