Hello
I received new regulators, and i'm willing to investigate further my Valvecaster mods (but i don' want to fry another 7812).
Could you please tell me if the layout is correct ?

It all looks ok to me but you could lose the two jumpers by simply soldering the diode to the tracks of pin 1 and pin 3 of the regulator.

Umm? sort of. I would put the diode parallel to the regulator, between C1 and the reg, but yes you have the right idea.

Hello
I'm happy to tell that my slightly modded Valvecaster works fine now :applause:
Fed with 15V, it desn't hum nor buzz, the signal is clean.
I'm using a 12AU7, which sounds great (better than the 12AT7 i also tried).
I'm much more happy with the modded tone than with the default one.
Overall, it sounds good !

Thank you all for the help :thumbsup
