Hello everyone, I'm Tom.

I want to build my first pedal next week and I'm going to be making a Catalinbread SFT II as the title suggests. This is the schematic I'm using.https://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/20 ... ft-ii.html. I found most of the parts here in the Netherlands for the build but I can't find the mpf4393's anywhere. Now I want to use a different transistor but I have no idea what transistor would work since I read about a lot of people getting oscillations with some transistors. The store that I want to buy the parts from has quite a few FET transistors but I don't know which would work, could you guys help me? This is the store and the 2 pages of FET transistors they have: http://www.newtone-online.nl/catalog/in ... Path=31_34 and http://www.newtone-online.nl/catalog/in ... =2a&page=2. I hope you guys can help me figure out all the right parts!

Thanks for reading,

Tom

Thanks for the advice! Are the prices bad, they seemed decent to me but if they are unreasonable I'll try to find another store!

I've just seen that the website doesn't have up to date payment methods, I'd like to be able to pay with IDEAL which is pretty much standard in the Netherlands does anyone know a Dutch shop or another European shop which I could buy parts from?

Thanks and regards,

Tom

Maybe PN4393 would be a suitable replacement to MPF4393 ? http://www.electrokit.com has some.

I built one couple of months ago
Order a good bunch of trannies, this built is a pain in the ass to bias correctly :(

You could try with 2N5457, MPF102, J201, J112 but you need to have around 4,5-5v to Q1,3 and 5

If it's your first built maybe it's better to try another one first
If so good luck ;)
