I've recently reversed the taper on a passive volume pedal pot by reversing
the wiring on the outside pot lugs.
I also mechanically reversed the direction of the pot so it would still work as normal but with a reverse taper.
It seems to work, but I am finding the volume sweep to start a little too abruptly.

I know I can alter the taper with resistors after having read "the secret life of pots"...
But being new to this, I am not sure what resistor value's to start with
and between what lugs it would attach to.
(I imagine the wiper and one of the other lugs)

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You can probably find the answer in this post:

Long story short, you are right about the extra resistor between the wiper and a lug. Typically it's 10% of the pot value.
Resistance is futile...
( if < 1 ohm )
