They're fine for use in Valve/Tube based Guitar Amplifiers....

They are also very good for some crucial applications where temperature stability is required. I'm thinking about V/Oct tracking in a VCO circuit or stuff like that.

I have a few of these lying around, picked up a few for the hell of it from PedalPartsPlus.. So am I to understand that these are not ideal for stomp boxes?

Honestly I'm not sure if someone is really able to hear the difference between silver mica and styroflex or regular poly film caps in most of pedal circuits.
However they can be heard easily in microphones as they are sometimes perceived as "hi fi" and better sounding compared to other caps, and that's a very good thing.
They are great capacitors in general and they often have tight specs, so don't worry about using them in any guitar related gear

As @Zokk said, I think they are to be used in applications where things can get heated up a lot and you need some stable performance. This can actually be read from its description where it has very less values shown in percentages. These are tolerances, the deviations from actual performance with the shift in temperature. You can use them normally in any amplifier, I don't they'll give you any difference in sound unless you're amplifying only a certain bandwidth.
