2n4125 replacement?
- Barcode
- Diode Debunker
tonepad project for the phase 90 calls for a 2n4195, which i know is a pnp tranny. could i sub in a 2n3906 with no ill effects? i'm not sure of the role of the pnp transistor in this circuit, so i can't tell.

I have used it.Barcode wrote:tonepad project for the phase 90 calls for a 2n4195, which i know is a pnp tranny. could i sub in a 2n3906 with no ill effects? i'm not sure of the role of the pnp transistor in this circuit, so i can't tell.
The 2N3906 is a very good replacement, the data sheets show very similar spec for gain, noise current etc.

Information
In the original is used a 2N 4126 (slightly more ß than the 2N 4125):
2N 4126: Si-PNP 25V/200mA/350mW ß: 120-360/2mA F<4dB fg>250MHz
2N 3906: Si-PNP 40V/250mA/350mW ß: 100-300/10mA F<4dB fg>250MHz
You can use the 2N 3906 instead the 2N 4126 without any doubts and any problems
